Those are the genocide shuttles. The Germans used trains and the Chinese in their opulence use fancy space age monorails and efficient light rail

There are thousands of weeggers in that train but Jesus Christ will deal with China shortly

China and the CCP will collapse in 27 minutes!

honestly, given the reaction liberals are having to an actual member of the actual Waffen SS, the idea that Nazi Germany conducted any genocides at all will be a minority position within the liberal media within five years (optimistically), leaving only China and the USSR as Genocide Countries

sorry for ruining the joke but I'm guessing this is a real picture of wuhan?

I'm from Wuhan

Local above ground trains are there but they've taken a back seat for the metro system which are a bit more expensive to build but doesn't obstruct above ground structures or future housing. I'm not sure if there are any plans to expand hanging monorails, but there's a heavily used one in Hankou. The subway system is being expanded constantly, however.

Also, if you've ever seen the picture of the train port with like dozens of bullet trains, that's Wuhan, the Chinese fleet is based out of Wuhan and maintenance is performed there.

cool,thanks comrade!

the line is real, but the image looks like something that was shown at the presentation that proposed it. If it started as real it’s been heavily stylized in post.

Elevated trains hanging under the tracks are fucking awesome though. I want to ride the train zeppelins.

It is, the picture just reminded me a lot of this meme image which is why I made this post.

Wow Wuhan looks like a total shithole. The more trains a places has easily the worse it is.

Suspended trains freak me out but I also can't deny they look futuristic and retro at the same time somehow. They're cool as hell and I think they have no advantage over a typical train other than looking neat.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 years ago

if you look at videos of people riding it, it gives you great views.

center of gravity stuff maybe?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 years ago

One of the hanging train lines is below one of the bridges across the Yangtze. This means the same bridge can be used for trains and cars without increasing the width (and therefore weight) of the bridge by having the rail run parallel on the surface, or building a second bridge.

Vaguely related: after liberation when the land reforms started rolling out, eastern Wuchang outside the city walls was just absolute chaos.

So what the government did was say "hey, outside the city walls, if you don't already own a home, you can pick a plot of unoccupied land and start building a house :)"

What followed was the most chaotic placing of buildings you can imagine. The birds eye view looked like if you googled "the most optimal way to pack 17 squares".

The government was like "oh, yeah, that may have been unwise, building roads and around this is impossible, half of these are going to have to be demolished, we'll build housing then just assign it to you"

Very few of them exist to this day, but you can still see some houses that are placed perpendicular (or diagonal?) To the building next door. Like some face north/south and others just face northeast/southwest for no discernable reason.

The OP's picture is roughly around where this happened

Fascinating

[–] [email protected] 12 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Wait, isn't Wuhan already like this?

Oh ok then...

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Eh, Hanyang is a bit less glamourous because all the railway infrastructure is below ground. Hankou has a few of these, the rest are in eastern Wuchang/Guanggu
