Guanggu (literally valley of light) is already a fairly new district though. Iirc it was low density housing and hills on the outskirts of Wuchang until like the late 90's

A lot of western expats live there for some reason. I went to a Guanggu bar for Halloween in 2018 ish and there were dozens of yanks near Prison (English name for one of the punk rock dive bars)
