I used to run Mint and Win7 parallel in uni (gosh, a decade ago?) since we were working with ruby - at the time basically impossible to run and dev under windows.
In matters of development there are almost only advantages, depending on your target platform of course. Bash is great, tools and packages are usually easier to setup than on windows.
For gaming my only linux experience is the Steamdeck. I've ran a bunch of non-steam games and Proton (the bridge for windows games under Linux) does all the heavy lifting for you. I only had issues with the Riot launcher, which tended to break when detecting a new update.

with tofu (especially plain soy tofu) the key is the seasoning. Think of it a bit like you would chicken. Marinate it, make a rub, add a sauce.. By itself its pretty plain and some people hate what flavour it does have, but it acts like a sponge for seasoning.

Similarly, another incredible protein is Seitan. Basically pure gluten from washing out flour (you can also just get gluten powder to save like an hour of work)
Makes for really good meat imitate especially when folded/braided into different textures.

I'm just writing it assuming someone who has no idea reads this, you did sound like you know veg foods in general.

I wish i could agree with you, but some critical moments still hinge on "totally not a jedi" force user with staff. Unless I'm misremembering, its been a while.

Don't get me wrong it's a good movie, I just don't share the hype. The premise is cool, but to me personally, it falls a bit flat.

One hundred percent, certified banger and I love it.

Meine Stimme hätte sie.
Klingt schon fast überqualifiziert.

Ah, misunderstood you then.
Are there generally any methodical issues with the study in the end or is it a case of just being wary of the source?

I'm gonna die on the hill that rogue one was unnecessary.

Its a cool ass movie, but the "everything must have detailed in universe lore"-culture annoys me so much. Especially regarding a franchise that started as metaphoric of a story as star wars.

Like I don't need in-universe guides to enjoy old kung fu hero movies with floaty wallruns and rooftop jumps. Its all metaphor and stylistic choice.

Why do I need midichlorians and shoehorned blueprint fudging? Plus the ending was so predictable, i was disappointed when realising they really didn't come up with a better out than what i guessed before sitting down in the theater.

Bean tofu rules. Had lentil tempeh the other day and that was so good too!

Where are you getting overconsumption and why "soy only"?

Like.. Thats not the bulk of vegan food. Are you aware that more options than processed fake meat exist?

Also 300g of chicken would hardly classify as overconsumption would it?

****Hey! My gf wanted to try out Trackmania since I've been getting into it. However we can't get it to run on her steam deck at all.

For reference here's how I did it on my deck: Install trackmania from the store. On first launch it briefly says "running instant script: ubisoft connect" or similar. Then Ubi starts, i logged in, done. Now anytime I launch TM, ubi pops up briefly, takes care of things and runs the game.

However, on her deck, the instant script runs, then she's greeted with an old-school windows error box from TM informing her that it needs Ubi connect.

We've tried all kinds of trickey like installing Ubi as a non steam app, changing proton versions, changing the proton context, reinstalling, deleting compat data for a clean slate...

Most guides online are old enough to not mention the instant script.

If anyone has an idea of what might be going on, I'd greatly appreciate any pointers.

EDIT: sorry for the rambly post here's a quick clarification I wanted a decentralized/open source variant of something like NordVPN etc.

Crypto-based options I found: Sentinel, Mysterium , Orchid All of those are on the Blockchain and use their own coins as a payment system, both to pay usage fees and to pay out node-hosts. Not sure if that's my jam.

I tried to use the search and came up short - so point me elsewhere if there's already a discussion.

Let me preface this by saying I'm pretty green when it comes to a lot of the deeper aspects of FOSS privacy tools. Meaning that i'm probably more clueless about this topic than I realise.

Had a bit of a shower thought moment earlier and googled if decentralized VPNs are an option for the occasional torrent.
Did a bit of a google and came up with a couple of options, seemingly all tied into a blockchain with their own coin for payments - either using or hosting a node.

I'm a bit allergic to cryptobros and their blockchain-everything-mentality but I suppose it's not a terrible system for the usecase?

So are there people on here who have hands-on experience with this? Is it a valid tool for safer browsing and torrenting?

Are there any obvious alternatives I should look into?

Are there any obvious risks I'm not aware of?

Is the concept flawed altogether?

So.. tripwire mines confirmed. What's your dumbest plan on how to use them?

Basically Title.

Been to Wacken recently and a friend and I were discussing what could be seen as the biggest name in metal currently.
Since we're "old", we could only come up with yesteryears titans.

Are there any more recent names that currently dominate the industry? Get played on day to day radio like our childhood bands did?
