Makes sense. Could be fun if it integrates a lot of elements from the game. Not sure if I'll watch the sequel though. First one was competently made, but pretty much the definition of empty, meaningless entertainment for me.

Sitze im Homeoffice und habe nichts zu tun. Firma ist schon länger etwas am strugglen, letztes Jahr gab es auch viel Kurzarbeit. Jetzt gibt es zwar ein paar Aufträge, die aber alle noch nicht so weit sind dass ich (Softwareentwickler) daran arbeiten kann. Naja, hänge mal das e-MTB an den Strom und wenn sich bis heute Mittag nichts tut geht's ab in den Wald.

Prinzipiell kann man das machen, aber die meisten Leute haben weder die Zeit noch die Expertise um alles selbst zu recherchieren und einordnen zu können. Viele Leute die denken sie bilden sich eine eigene Meinung landen dann in irgendeiner Verschwörungstheoretiker- oder Wissenschaftsleugner-Bubble. Im Gegensatz zu irgendwelchen beliebigen Twitter Nutzern gibt es für Journalisten zumindest Standards and die sie sich halten müssen und Konsequenzen wenn sie z.b. regelmäßig Falschmeldungen veröffentlichen.

I'd be curious to see that if you have the link. The mod devs state in their FAQ that they're not using any leaked code, but of course it's possible that they're lying.

That really sucks. I guess I can see why Valve is not so permissive when it comes to one of their major cash cows. But it seems like they handled this really poorly by initially signalling permission for the project and then deciding otherwise at the last minute and after years of work.
