Finished Chatper 10 of Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition !

Now doing side missions etc to level up for chapter 11. I noticed my play time is about 70 hours. Didn't realise that I have played this much. It feels like I should be still be around 30 hours or so. Which shows that even with all the complaints I had about the game, I am still enjoying it so much that I didn't notice the time.

Played some more Marvel's Midnight Suns.

I recall reading interview of the Firaxis guys (forgot their name) about how they wanted the people to play aggressively and that's why they added timer in X-Com 2. If you don't clear the mission in that time, some very strong enemies join the battle.

Midnight Suns fortunately doesn't have that, but each turn enemy get reinforcements. They are all one-hit kill, but when you have only 3 attack (some cards give you free attack if you kill in one hit), it means you have to be aggressively attack all the other enemies, or you will just keep fighting until you die.

Not a big fan of this, but it is much better than the X-Com 2 solution, IMO, which gave me too much pressure and I wasn't able to enjoy the game. This is not too big of a deal here, but still a slight annoyance.

Also played some more Ghost of Tsushima.

Just slowly exploring the second area and clearing territories and anything I come across.

What about all of you? What have you been playing and/or plan to play?

I used the updated USB adapter 2 to connect my Old N30 arcade stick that still has not recieved a update. I set it to PC/Android mode and connected via bluetooth.

I did the same with my C2 2.4ghz that i bought on mistake. It allso connects fine over bluetooth. (no gyro etc, but works fine otherwise) As a bonus i feel the bluetooth connection on teh Adapter has less latency then i have experienced with some of the 8bitdo devices connected directly to the switch bluetooth. (Might just be a feeling though, i have not tested it extensively)

So if you have quite a few 8bit do devices like i do, and a few of them are yet to recieve an update this might be a workaround to getting them running on the switch 2.

(The arcade stick was really the priority for me, for playing SF6 with)

Also: remember to turn on usb pro controller support in the switch settings as people have missed that previously.

For the universal updater go here:

https://support.8bitdo.com/firmware-updater.html

If your controller is not detected, you might be on an older FW version that is not detectable by the universal updater. How do I know this? Because my SN30 Pro SN Edition wasn't detected for this exact reason.

If this is the case, go here to access legacy firmware:

https://download.8bitdo.com/Firmware/Controller/

Update your controller to the latest version for your device, and then try the universal updater again.

Also, make sure your controller is in update mode. For the SN30Pro you do this by pressing L+R+START and the red light on top starts flashing. It might be different for other controllers though.

Hopefully this helps someone. It took me quite some time to find the legacy firmware installers to fix my controller.

I'm wondering if I should go for a replacement or what.

I can't get the Switch 2 to wake even if I hold the controllers 1cm away and hit the home screen. I know it's not supposed to work from the old pro controllers any more, but not even from the included joycons? And since it doesn't recognize my TV's HDMI-CEC either, the only way to wake this damn thing while it's docked is to walk over and turn it on. And to make matters worse, the range of the controllers is a lot worse and they keep disconnecting. I didn't have these problems with the Switch 1.

Is it just me?

Shin'en Multimedia is a small but highly talented developer with a reputation for delivering astonishing custom technology. After Fast Racing Neo on Wii U and Fast RMX on Switch, Fast Fusion represents a full-blooded sequel that pushes the T239 processor hard - and in the case of DLSS, perhaps too hard. After this video was completed, Shin'en told us that a "pure" mode that doesn't use upscaling will be made available in an upcoming patch.
