I'm out of the loop. What happened with Neil Gaiman?

you and everyone else don't have the ability to change any of that

I beg to differ.

This is some wisdom right here. Thanks! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Sadly this might be the case.

They say they want to improve, but I kinda feel like they aren't even self aware enough to know what they want.

Thanks for taking the time to reply with all that.

There is a lot of avoidance going on despite them vocally asserting that they want to get better and are willing to try new ideas. But when the rubber meets the road, there is nothing but excuses.

I've tried asking deeper questions that require introspection, just to hear "I don't know how to answer that."

It feels like a lost cause, but a big part of what got me out of my own pit is that I don't easily let things go. (Not bragging, it gets me in trouble a lot, too)

I'll definitely keep your advice in mind and let you know if it helps!

To be honest... I'm not sure. I have considered it though.

Yeah, it extends to psychologists, too. This is something to consider. Thanks =)

It's not that kind of lack, it's more like... They are angry at how their life ended up, but can't see how or why they got there, as it relates to their own actions. It's all someone and something else's fault.

Not word soup at all! It makes a lot of sense.

I think the issue is that I'm trying to reach someone on a logical level because due to our history and their current situation, I'm unable to connect emotionally.

If so, how?

Not fluid, non-binary, or agender. More like a superposition.

Binary, but also neither, and both.

I was AMAB, and presenting as female feels more natural to me, but I feel like a male and female in one body.

Discuss?

Oh come on, don't downvote me! I don't support this garbage. But we're living through a major historical event (not just the parade, but this whole thing).

If I can't be out protesting, I'm going to be observing this moment as much as I can. I'm watching protests, too!

Of the following, which of the two personality types do you generally align with?

When approaching a given situation or idea, do you typically focus on details first, or start with the bigger picture, filling in details second?

Edit for clarity: I'm not asking anyone to strictly identify with one or the other. It's a question of where on the spectrum between them you fall.

I am more of a big picture person and my partner is more of a details first person.
