Alaska just issued its first-ever heat advisory. For the first time the state issued a heat advisory with temperatures in Fairbanks pushing 86 degrees.
Reading the article, it seems that the major difference is that Fairbanks now has a national weather service meteorologist who will issue heat advisories. Fairbanks can experience temps of over 100 degrees F during the summer months and has for a long time. This is not to say that the averages aren't climbing and hot days are not more prevalent, but in this case it's just that high temps (86 degrees in the article) are given more attention and caution by the national service. This seems like a good thing overall in light of the changing climate.
Hot take: The reason why so many people think ChatGPT can be sentient or even divine is that capitalism has atomized us so badly, many of us forgot what it's like to talk to an actual human being.

I like that centaur a lot. Shame the paint is so difficult to take off. I suppose its good for durability as a kids toy, but having to risk melting the model to strip the paint is rough. Please post some photos as they get painted up! I'd love to see how they turn out!
