Started reading "Inherent Vice" by Pychon. Great book so far. Excellent characters, fun plot, and it's really funny.

I have the same thought when people say antidepressants changed their life.
I'm not saying they can't necessarily, but I'm skeptical because of my own attempts with all manner of antidepressants.
Down with Ethernet
I'm not sure if you'd consider it theory, but The Principles of Communism is a great document to send to someone who knows nothing about communism: https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1847/11/prin-com.htm
I thought Vermin Supreme was a libertarian free stater, but I guess I was wrong.
In an interview with New Hampshire magazine in 2018, Supreme labeled his political beliefs as "social anarchist" and opined that Peter Kropotkin "was a great anarchist thinker and writer"
He called for ending foreign wars and voiced support for pardoning non-violent drug offenders, ending the war on drugs, and reducing incarceration, which he called his top priority. On the COVID-19 pandemic, Supreme criticized President Donald Trump, arguing that he should have paid better attention to the virus and have made testing more widely available.
His Wikipedia has some pretty funny stuff:
Shortly before the primary, he was observed questioning Republican candidates Chris Christie and Ted Cruz through a bullhorn. Supreme engaged Christie in an informal debate over his free pony platform, during which he accused Christie of hating ponies, and asked Cruz whether he thought that water being used during waterboarding should include fluoride.
He satirically promised to make COVID-19 illegal and, in a play on his campaign promise to go back in time and "kill baby Hitler," vowed to go back in time and "kill baby COVID." He facetiously pledged to create "COVID-19 free zones" because "they work so well for things like guns and drugs."
I've heard good things about AirVPN, but I still have some time left on my PIA subscription, so I haven't tried it yet.
They allow torrenting, have port forwarding and contribute to open source software projects.
Avoid PIA, it's a decent service for a reasonable price but it's an Israeli company. I didn't know that when I bought a 3.3 year subscription.
That's a great idea. Could make it autonomous by using the phones gps and data connection. Basically a drone rc car
Finally a use case for LLMs.
@grok Say 5 hail mary's for me
I hate when people don't put their cart away at the grocery store, but that Cart Narcs guy bothers me for some reason. I can't quite put my finger on it. It feels explotative I guess.
It also doesn't seem effective at all. All he's doing is getting into conflict with people who either shameless about it, or have some actual reason to not return their cart.
I've always been surprised that big tech let cloudflare become such a load bearing part of the Internet without serious competition.
Some asshole thought he'd be white knight for Walmart and accused me of stealing.
I was doing a gig app delivery order and for some reason this prick was just standing in the self checkout area. When you do the orders you scan the items as you go and then go to the self checkouts and scan a barcode, bag the stuff and leave. Pretty standard stuff, even regular customers can do that as a scan&go order.
I hear this dickbag whispering to the woman he's with while I'm bagging. Then when I start to leave he jumps in my way and goes, "Really?! You're just gonna steal all that?". I told him it was already paid for and a delivery order, pushed past him and left.
Why would anyone care that someone else is stealing?
