@crystals.rest domains also have issues subscribing, redirecting to a 50x error page despite successfully being subscribed to.

Is this thread monitored? Asking because, from what I observed, that federated Hexbear(dot)net users and communities don't seem to be possible to block. Or should I use the contact form?

You also need to find instructions specific to your device on how to unlock the bootloader, and a TWRP specific to your device. From there, you do a clean flash through TWRP (erasing certain partitions and then installing the new ROM), and then, you should be good to go.
