Most probable answer. I don't know any of them maybe that's why it seemed to strange to me

Like seriously, who uses it?

In terms of capability, I don't think I've ever seen Grok ranking high on any leader board for any kinds of task. Normal people would use ChatGPT. Open weight enjoyer would use DeekSeek/QwQ/Mistral/Whatever(haven't kept up with the developments). Programmers probably use Copilot or some dedicated coding model.

In terms of image generation, Stable Diffusion is free and easy to setup. Image generating sites are a dime a dozen. Midjourney used to be massive. Most chatbot services like Bing or ChatGPT also offers it for free. And Grok's quality, from what I've seen, is pretty sub-par.

In terms of accessibility, almost all of them are accessible on a webpage or have dedicated apps. The only advantage Grok has is you can tag it on twitter. But 1, you need a twitter account. And 2, it's response will be public for everyone to see.

So why is there a significant user base for it? I know they exist, because I kept running into guys that posts some long text/image and then says "I asked Grok and got this", "Grok generated this, lol". And it's not like they use a lot of different services because they would consistently mention it's from Grok on multiple occasions instead of just saying it's AI generated or mention some other name.

Who are these people? Why? Is "Grok" just a dogwhistle to let others know you are rightwing? Am I schizoposting?

Post talked about weight but also drugs.

Coca-cola free, cocaine free, or both?

Either way, congrats. Keep it up.

Right. Maybe it's because my entire interaction with this slogan is on Youtube videos for a brief 1-2 years. I was able "get over it" because my discomfort with it was very tiny to begin with, that being seeing internet people in a video saying "kill all men".

I never had conversations with bioessentialists or TERFs(beyond "ewww TERF goodbye"), never faced any direct attacks, never got involved in an argument over it. I can see it would be much more traumatic for someone with your experience. Thanks for sharing this perspective.

So I'm sure a fair number of men who were teenagers around 2015 went through that alt right pipeline. The gamergate crap, youtube "skeptic community", "mens right" and the like. I've been there, unfortunately.

I've gotten over the most of it in a year or two afterwards and come agree with the stuff I've dismissed since. (Mostly as a result of hate watching "the other side" and their arguments sticking) But I never really got over slogans like "kill all men", "abolish men" being said by women, always made me felt like I'm being unfairly included in the group and it's unhelpful campism. Hell I even ranted about it on Hexbear once. (cringe rambling alert).

Slogans like that isn't really seen anymore post ~2018, until recently someone randomly brought it up on a reddit-logo thread. One person just replied

It's basically the equivalent of "Another kkkrakkka down unlimited genocide on the first world". took-restraint

And that ticked with me instantly. I'm no cracker. I'm not from the first world. I'm in "the other camp" and I post stuff like that. But I don't actually mean I celebrate people's death as long as they are white and want to genocide the first world, it's just a statement against imperialism, just like "kill all men" is a statement against the patriarchy.

That's all the rambling I got today. Hopefully if there's anyone here with similar thoughts, this can help them get over it too.

Okay I bet someone is going to tell me the objective of feminism is to actually kill all men now.

I mean, you did try to figure things out and attempted the fix yourself, I'd call that being handy. Next time you won't make the same mistake again.

I had a cousin that had their tire run flat. And their first instinct was to give me a call. I explained you can quite easily replace it with your spare, both the spare and every single tool you need is located under the trunk mat. I then sent over a step by step guide, reference images for their specific car model, and a youtube video, also offered to guide them through the process via a video call.

A few hours later they told me they got their insurrance to send over a guy to change the tire, had to wait almost an hour, because "it's just not something I do".

That's the oriental pearl tower in the center. Has to be shanghai. Or that video is stitched together from multiple sources.

"We did the last one and things ended up fine for us."

They won't need a reason.

Not your typical Ukrainian flag lib on twitter, Drew is the kind of person that printed out a huge sign with "Fuck you Xi" in Chinese and carried it into his local chinatown to argue with the people living there, just so he can have this persecution complex fulfilled.

Good. I think even if PSL got like 3% vote, it would give both parties a big scare

(Only the first 3:30 is relevant)

My summary of the video:

  • A Harris presidency will allow the empire to continue to function smoothly. As a result, more harm will be caused towards the global south.
  • A Trump presidency will cause less harm outside the US solely because Trump is incompetent and surround himself with incompetent people. However, life will be worse within the US due to the empire being dysfunctional, also the conservative social policies.
  • So for the lives of Americans, Harris is better.
  • For everyone else, Trump is better.

I'm asking because I don't recall seeing a lot of people with this take and this has been my take for years.

I should clarify that I am from the global south. And I don't agree with everything in the video, in particular the part where he said Americans should suffer because of the suffering the US brought to its victims. I don't see the vast majority of Americans having any control on its foreign policy, so I don't think they should be punished for it. Also, I know it's 100% hitler vs 100% hitler, both are equally bad, I agree, just that they are slightly different variants of hitlers.

Note: I'm not arguing that you should vote for Trump, hell no. If I'm an American(I am not), I would either not vote or vote PSL. This take is about the effect of one or the other getting elected.
