I could be wrong, but I think that one originated in the military.
I usually say that the problem is between the keyboard and the chair.
The error is located 20 cm in front of the keyboard.
In my computer science class this week I was having an issue with a line of code throwing an error I'd never seen before, so I took my laptop up to my instructor for help. After looking at my code for a minute she very solemnly said "oh, I know what's wrong. It's your fault." After we finished laughing I said "I know it's my fault, but please tell me why so I can fix it"
Skill issue
I tell people I bought the 512 GB version for storage, while I really bought it to avoid looking at my reflection.
I have the 512 version and my screen is glossy...?
Oh, that might me by screen protector. I might need to replace that.

The Deck can save you from many things...but it can't save you from yourself...

It's a joke about the glossy screen. When a game is loading and mostly black, depending on the lighting, you can see your face reflected.
Just slap a matte screen protector on and you're good to go!

Just pop a non-glare screen protector on it, and it's fine. It's like a 5-10 $ problem.
People buying a twice as expensive model for a slightly different screen surface are just insane if you ask me. You can also install a proper 512gig SSD for like 60€ or so to get even on storage, also takes 5 minutes.
Well I for one am happy to fork over money to our steam overlords. I am Valve's little money pig, and I will deliver.

When I bought mine on sale it was 375€ or so. I think the 512 version with the different screen surface was 650. Is that double? No, but close enough for a side note in a casual comment. Say hi to your friend for me though, he seems nice.
He’s insufferable. Trust me.
I ended up buying the 512 near launch. I typically don’t like screen protectors and when I bought it wasn’t quite as common to do the SSD swap. I don’t regret the decision but do recognize that I’m at a point in my life where spending a bit of extra money is worth it to avoid having to tinker.
At one point the Steam Deck design and engineering team strongly opposed installing a third party SSD for various reasons ranging from power draw to EMI. Is this still the case?
I've been a tinkerer since I was a child and have no problem tearing into electronics for the hell of it, but I also have the wisdom to listen to people who know more than I do. I'd rather not damage my expensive toy.

It's a good selling point for the 512GB model. I don't have to see how fugly I am during my loading screens.
Hey everyone, here's a reminder to do chin tucks to help strengthen your neck to minimize the effects of looking down while playing. Happy gaming!
What's a chin tuck?
While looking forward, head in neutral position, you pull your chin straight back and down slightly. It's good for strengthening the deep neck flexors and extensors. Help with forward head posture. You can look up videos if you want more visual on how it's done.
Why does it hurt my Adam's apple so much though?
It shouldn't. I'd watch some videos to make sure you're doing them right. If it still hurts, reduce how far your moving.

Just never turn the screen off, play continuously.
