I personally use the nefarious and manipulative psychological technique of talking to people, determining what complaints they have about society, and explaining how capitalism and the government that supports it are the root of the problem.

Exercise releases endorphins which make you feel less like shit. Find a bodyweight home fitness thing appropriate for your current fitness (home calisthenics, kettlebell, jogging, idc). After 2 months of that, your mental health should be +1 or +2, use those points to power you through the next thing you need.

Find the things you do in life that aren't helpful in achieving your goals and substitute different behaviors for those.

So...

Event organizer security spots a soon-to-be mass shooter, confronts him, shoots him injured, and kills a person behind him?

I somewhat spontaneously booked a trip to Vegas next month for my partner and me. Mostly because we live somewhere dreary and cold and my sunlight lamp ain't cutting down on the seasonal affective disorder enough this time of year.

I've been to Vegas a half dozen times, but not in the last ~10 years. We're both im-vegan. I want to see Red Rock and the wetlands. And the Sphere cuz I think it's neat. We're both into liz-punk but don't want to go to the punk rock museum cuz fat mike sucks. I've been to the Atomic Bomb museum and to the shooting range to leftist on full auto.

Just wanted to see if the anti-capitalist forum had and recommendations on enjoying this hypercapitalist helltown. Any live shows that are especially fun or memorable? Any local spots to see?

What's the side hustle you ask?

spoiler

First, he'd learn how to write prompts for artificial intelligence language models like OpenAI's ChatGPT or Google's Gemini. Next, he'd teach his friends how to use those prompts on their school papers. "Then, I would go to businesses, particularly small- to medium-sized businesses that don't understand AI yet," says Cuban. "Doesn't matter if I'm 16, I'd be teaching them as well."

More than half of Gen Zers in the U.S. currently have side hustles, a LendingTree report found in February. AI prompt engineering — or, the ability to phrase inquiries to chatbots to get desired responses — can be a particularly lucrative opportunity. The average pay for AI tutors starts at about $30,000 per year, and full-time AI prompt engineers can make up to $129,500, according to job board platform ZipRecruiter.
