Germany has neither the demgraphic structure nor the necassary training infrastructure or personnel to actually realise any such endeavour. This is wishful thinking coupled with delusions of grandeur. On the positive side, the fact that Germany's most populous age groups are going to retire in the coming 5-7 years coupled with the fact that the age groups which enter the work force to replace them are the least populous age groups below the ages of 80 and above woulod render the economic impact of the implementation of such measures absolutely catastrophic.

I mean, they are, but scalpers literally just perform a correction of prices of scarce goods to market value. This is literally just markets working as intended and not even remotely unique to, say, concert tickets. Scalpers, as is expected with the high degree of proliferation and Landnahme after multiple centuries of capitalism, are simply a symptom of capitalism, just a particularly noticeable one. A much bigger example of this type of rent seeking is… rent. Yet, landlords do not receive even a fracture of the ire directed at scalpers (I know, on Hexbear they do).

Tl;dr: I don’t know what the fuss is about, this is literally how all markets work and we are completely immersed in this shit.

That should go without saying.

For Germany: Israel is an indulgence for the Holocaust.

For the USA: Israel is an unsinkable aircraft carrier in a largely hostile region that is protected by international law.

For the rest of Western Europe: They are vassals of the US, so naturally they don’t want to piss of their daddy.

For everyone else: they don’t want to provoke the US either.

Wait, what? I thought they’d at least take a few weeks before publicly rehabilitating him.

Oh, in my case it would’ve the Dari/Tajik speaking part. It’s the same in Urdu and Hindi, so I just surmised that it’s really common.

There’s bound to be a bunch of variations of panir, paneer, peynir etc. around. All of us central Asians call it something like that.

Neither is Azerbaijan.

Not wanting to be sectarian doesn’t mean to just accept everything as long as the person/org is nominally on the left. Condemning the actions of a genocidal settler state is an acceptable red line.

…so you walk right into the shelf?

Short version: So, the gist of this is that I want to truncate list by numerical value and can't seem to do it. I've been looking for solutions by myself for a bit, but since this project is a bit time sensitive and I am a total noob, I've come to you for help.

Long version: I have a data set from a poll, in which answers are coded by 1, 2, ..., 7, 99 with 99 being the value assinged to people who did not answer a particular question. The data was provided as a .csv file, from which I was able to extract the answers in form of a list of the form

data = [ [ 2.0, 3.0, ...] ],

thus a list, which contains the possible values as floats within a list. To solve this problem, I tried to remove the undesired 99 values using the list.remove command, however, since data is a list within a list, I can't use that command and for some reason, I can't use *data.remove(99.0) either, as starred expressions are not allowed. Any ideas how to either turn data into something like

data = [ 2.0, 3.0, ...]

so the list.remove command can do its magic or how to truncate data as it is?

Thank you in advance.

Edit: Thank you, Hexbear, for being a helpful community even to total scrubs who might ask redundant questions that can be solved by a quick google search!

Dude literally has a song named Gosplan.

Seriously, if you can, just do it. I decided to work on my hip mobility and splits after a very long time and my god, I feel so much better. It relieved pain in my legs, back and a little bit of my desk-borne headache. If you have trouble getting started, find one particular stretch you would like to be able to do, preferably some tangible goal like a full split, and hyper focus on that.

By eliminating the “Jahressonderzahlung”, colloquially known as “Weihnachtsgeld”, which effectively was a 13th monthly wage at the end of the year, my workplace effectively upended the minimum wage increase from 2022 and the subsequent pay raise for my pay grade, which is barely more than minimum wage anyway. God, I hate being poor. Time to organise some people.

More precisely, I remember reading that the Red Army had issued the death penalty for r*pists in its own ranks and would like an academic/“serious” source to corroborate this and possibly even how rigorously this was enforced. Thanks!

To clarify, this is about Lebanon, but the UNSC resolution that the US blocked yesterday isn’t even mentioned. xi-plz

After avoiding anything Marvel for 16 years, and the films aren’t what I would call good, but the character of Black Widow is just a blatantly flawed. First, her name: Natsha Romanoff. It should be Romanovna. Second, she war born in 1984. She was in the KGB. The USSR dissolved in 1991. ????

Smdh my dick head

Just doing research over here. Also by "good", I mean quotable in an academic context.

Most of the historic record of the GDR has been set by FRG historians running victory laps and is based on anecdotal evidence at best, mythology at worst. A lot of people also attempt to equate the GDR with the third Reich (which is insane to begin with, but that's what people are taught here).

Preferred languages would be German and English. I could make Russian work, but not very well.

Edit: I know about John Green.

As many of you know, 80% of the Wehrmacht were stationed on the eastern front. And where did the Soviets decide to engage them? On the eastern front. If the soviet leadership had any regard for the lives of their soldiers, they would have engaged the Wehrmacht on the western front.

According to her it was only used a handful of times and rinsed thoroughly. Which begs the question WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!
