Yeah that seems about right. Bunch of things that I wish were better but I am not going back. When I absolutely must there's a VM for that.

As someone who missed out on BBS I find this genuinely tempting

It was completely broken at launch. Not like funny jank, like crash to desktop and wait for the devs to finish the unfinished game.

But in the year where no mans sky released I can understand if its hard to recall mafia3

I got half way through AH1 and just couldn't anymore. Combat was just insufferable and the dialogue was a slog too.

Looks cool. After the shitshow that was mafia3 I'll be waiting to see if they actually finish the game before selling it this time around.

I think feathers are ruffled but jimmies are rustled?

I should have started by saying thank you for sharing - great article and videos.

The video links in the article don't work anymore, I guess the link changed cos they are still here on the MITx channel

That's awesome - well done.

This is a cool idea. We're not super happy with slack at work but I admit we haven't given matrix a proper go yet. Wish we could stop for like a year just to evaluate the stack and the toolset. I kid. Sort of.

I never knew that "road mix 17" was going to be the final release

SSH managers on Linux? (lemmy.sdf.org)

Curious what folks are using to organise their remote connections? I liked WinSSHTerm and have tried replacing it with Remote Desktop Manager, but it seems a bit broken (fonts look terrible in a terminal, sftp doesn't work, RDP sort of works, but it's not great).

RDP is not a must. Folders, ssh, key auth, sftp and scp are the main things I'm looking for. Currently considering Remmina but though I would check if ppl have strong views on this topic before trying the next app.

I'm using cinnamon with mint 22.

I've been keeping an eye on the github and the board and it doesn't seem to be moving that much. We're nearly halfway through 2025 and I thought the plan was for Wayland to be supported on cinnamon early 2026.

Wondered if anyone had any more insight into progress/blockers/delays

I just opened a pack of chicken breast, seasoned with salt and pepper, put water a stock cube and a chunk of ginger in the instant pot, put the chicken on the rack, and pressure cooked for 25 mins. When done I removed most of the liquid and shredded the chicken right in the pot with a blunt mixer. About as much effort as making a sandwich and now I have frozen portions of shredded chicken ready to add to soup/salad/sandwiches.
