TL;DR it's much more beautiful but won't be free, as it'll need at least to buy some upgrade even if you had the original, switch1 game.

There’s no such thing as a “dating league”. People are selective, but the nature of that selectivity depends on the individual.

Exactly this. I can't deal with anymore "rating" of people's attractiveness, as daily seen on Reddit and the such. Beauty, attractiveness, and overall interest a person generates is highly (if not solely) dependent on said interest's other end.

There is something deeply flawed in trying to put people into small, numbered boxes.

This might already be the case, but the guy deserves is own character and quest in Project Tamriel and/or Tamriel Rebuilt. This is way too young an age to go.

this. that's why a model is as good as its known margin of error and limits

and it's important to remember models work well outside of edge cases ; in your speedometer example, if you brake on ice and your car drifts out of control, the speedometer will show no speed, when you'll probably have one ... but in most cases, it's a good enough model

Nope, doesn't seem so at all. I'll stay with the web version of LibreOffice, myself (and OnlyOffice as a second choice if the first one were to went south)

I've tried the animation in that article, and I do see the bright blue/green corona-like thing around the circle, alright. But there something odder : while the circle was shrinking, every two seconds or so, I saw the whole picture turn into a plain brownish square, the central dot being the only noticeable feature (the circle, for instance, wasn't there anymore). Lasts a split second, then back to the shrinking circle. I've seen that full brown square maybe three or four times over the whole animation. I had to check the animation without focusing on the dot to make sure the brown frames weren't real.

Anyone else saw that?

And keep in mind that cutting ALL sugar out of your diet (which, luckily enough, isn't that easy to do) will starve your brain and make you feel increasingly stupid. It's only after my last week-long fast that I've read that our brains can't really work on glycogen (ketosis-produced "sugar").

live a few more years

And see more of your children, maybe even your grand-children. Sounds like a fair deal to me.

Instead, I want to take aim at a misconception that I think Pablo shares with many, many people in the software industry. Namely, the idea that if a software system is built correctly, it will work. Or, equivalently: if a software system doesn’t work, then it wasn’t built correctly.

Great read, as often with Dan.

It's been two years since the repository was last edited, but they've apparently went quite far already. Not supposed to be playable, though.

It'd supposedly be much easier to edit/mod/contribute to, right?

I'm trying to setup a community without pict-rs (and as such, without being able to host its pictures myself). I've been tinkering a bit with the API (through python clients, essentially), and I've found how to change my users's avatar to an URL, but not a community. On Lemmy.py, for instance, I have an update() method a community object, but it can't seem to modify anything...

Has anyone an idea? Thx

Sadly enough, it doesn't seem developped anymore (last commit dates back to 2021). But it had/has great potential. Hope it will become alive again at some point...

Hi,

does anyone know if it's possible to expose a µSD card as a block device using an SPI reader like this one : https://www.amazon.fr/ANGEEK-Storage-Module-Socket-Arduino/dp/B07SBR9NL1/ref=sr_1_2

And if so, what would be the way?

Bonus question : is it possible to wire several readers on the same Pi (provided I only need to read one card at a time)?

Thanks
