Un peu tard mais en vue des vagues de chaleur un petit rappel des recommendations est toujours utile. Mon intention n'est pas de vous angoisser plus que nécessaire mais d'avoir un minimum de bases pour prévenir et se protèger.

Gardez votre logement frais

• Dans la journée, fermez les volets dès que le soleil tape sur la fenêtre ou avant de partir travailler le matin. Fermez aussi les fenêtres dès que la température extérieure dépasse celle de votre logement.
• Si votre logement a des expositions multiples, maintenez les fenêtres fermées du côté du soleil et ouvertes du côté ombragé si cela permet de faire des courants d'air.
• Pour refroidir les pièces, par évaporation d'eau, vous pouvez pendre un linge humide devant une fenêtre ouverte du côté ombragé.
• Ouvrez les fenêtres la nuit et créez des circulations d'air pour évacuer la chaleur stockée à l'intérieur.
• Utilisez ventilateurs et brumisateurs. Vous pouvez placer un pain de glace ou un sac de glaçons devant un ventilateur.
• Éviter de faire fonctionner des appareils qui produisent de la chaleur : plaques chauffantes, four...

Il est également possible de placer sur les vitres des films anti-chaleur. Ceux-ci peuvent repousser jusqu'à 90 % des rayonnements solaires avant qu'ils ne pénètrent à l'intérieur des pièces.

Bien se désaltérer

• Buvez régulièrement et sans attendre d’avoir soif, au moins 1 litre et demi à 2 litres par jour, sauf en cas de contre-indication médicale ;
• Ne consommez pas d’alcool, qui altère les capacités de lutte contre la chaleur et favorise la déshydratation ;
• Evitez les boissons à forte teneur en caféine (café, thé, colas) ou très sucrées (sodas) car ces liquides augmentent la sécrétion de l’urine ;
• En cas de difficulté à avaler les liquides, prenez de l’eau sous forme solide en consommant des fruits (melons, pastèques, prunes, raisins, agrumes) et des crudités (concombres, tomates, sauf en cas de diarrhées), des compotes, sorbets, yaourts…etc.

Enfants

La chaleur expose les nourrissons et les enfants au coup de chaleur et au risque de déshydratation rapide. Prenez des précautions en limitant les sorties et en respectant les recommandations générale : rester au frais et s’hydrate

Quels sont les signes qui doivent alarmer chez les enfants ?

• Fièvre,
• Pâleur,
• Somnolence ou agitation inhabituelle,
• Soif intense avec perte de poids.

Que faire ?

• Placez l’enfant dans une pièce fraîche, donnez-lui immédiatement et régulièrement à boire ;
• Faites baisser la fièvre par un bain, un à deux degrés au-dessous de la température corporelle ;

En cas de troubles de la conscience, de refus ou d’impossibilité de boire, de coloration anormale de la peau, de fièvre supérieure à 40°C, appelez sans tarder le Samu en composant le 15.

Enfants asthmatiques :

• Signalez votre enfant aux responsables des structures qui l’accueillent (école, club sportif, de loisirs, de vacances) ;
• En milieu scolaire, l’enfant asthmatique peut bénéficier d’un projet d’accueil individualisé.

Personnes agées

Personnes les plus fragiles : s'inscrire sur le registre canicule de votre commune

Le registre canicule permet de recenser sur un fichier communal les personnes qui souhaitent se faire aider en cas d'épisodes caniculaires. Il s'agit d'un service gratuit et confidentiel. Ce fichier est mis à jour deux fois par an. Il pour vocation de localiser les populations les plus à risque, qui seront régulièrement contactées par les services de leur ville pendant toute la durée de l'alerte, afin de s'assurer qu'elles n'ont pas besoin d'aide. Lors de ces appels, les agents rappellent également les conseils élémentaires pour éviter les risques de déshydratation et pour se rafraîchir. Si la personne appelée ne répond pas, et que la non-réponse est jugée inquiétante, le Centre communal d'action sociale (CCAS), chargé de ces appels, peut contacter la police municipale qui se déplacera et qui pourra en dernier recours contacter les pompiers.

Trois catégories de personnes peuvent s'inscrire sur ce registre, à la condition qu'elles résident à leur domicile :

• Les personnes âgées de 65 ans et plus ;
• Les personnes âgées de plus de 60 ans reconnues inaptes au travail ;
• Les personnes adultes handicapées (public défini en fonction des municipalités), les professionnels ou personnes de leur entourage.

La demande d'inscription doit être réalisée soit par la personne concernée (ou son représentant légal) soit par un tiers (entourage de la personne ou service intervenant auprès d'elle). Pour connaître les modalités exactes, renseignez-vous auprès de votre mairie.

Les symptômes qui doivent alerter

• crampes musculaires dans l’abdomen, les bras, les jambes, etc. survenant surtout si on transpire beaucoup lors d’activités physiques.
• épuisement lié à la chaleur survenant après plusieurs jours de chaleur surtout chez les personnes âgées : étourdissements, faiblesse et fatigue, insomnie ou agitation nocturne inhabituelles.
• les insolations sont liées à l’effet direct du soleil sur la tête et sont favorisées par la chaleur : maux de tête violents/état de somnolence/nausées et éventuellement perte de connaissance/fièvre élevée avec parfois brûlures cutanées.

également :

• Forte température corporelle qui peut atteindre et dépasser 40 °C
• Grande faiblesse/grande fatigue ;
• Etourdissements, vertiges, troubles de la conscience ;
• Nausées, vomissements ;
• Crampes musculaires ;
• Température corporelle élevée ;
• Soif et maux de tête ;
• Tenue de propos incohérents ;
• Perte de l’équilibre, perte de connaissance et/ou convulsions.

Que faire en cas de survenue de ces symptômes ?

• Demandez une assistance médicale au plus vite : appeler le 15 ou 114 pour les personnes sourdes, aphasique...; en attendant, effectuez les manœuvres de refroidissement : placer la personne à l’ombre et le refroidir en l’aspergeant d’eau froide et le ventilant, ou donner une douche froide ou un bain frais ;
• En cas de coup de chaleur, ne prenez pas de vous-même un médicament destiné à faire baisser la fièvre ou contre la douleur (AINS type ibuprofène, aspirine à dose supérieure à 500 mg/j ni paracétamol).
