Having public transport available without having to worry about buying a ticket just because of the subscription you already have anyway is far better than interrail

This ticket is not for long distance travel but for shorter distances - it will be an extension to interrail and not a replacement

And the German government in charge of the ticket already voiced their interest in making both tickets compatible so that people can use the traffic in either country with the ticket of the other one

Could lead to a pseudo-standard that could result in an eu-wide ticket of such type in the long run

At least in Germany they always are attached to overnight stays afaik

I'm not sure how you'd enforce such a fee generally except for cities like Venice that get a lot of visitors by cruise ship

I'm in a long distance relationship and regularly go 4h by train

The Steamdeck is so worth it if you travel regularly

An inventory management button that would automatically distribute wares to the character with the least carried stuff would already hope a lot - especially if we would be able to save that every cup, fork, etc would automatically be marked as wares and if there was a way to mark multiple things as wares at the same time (and if " sell all wares" would sell everything from all inventories present and not just for the talking character)

Selling wares remotely that are in camp and having an option to automatically send everything marked as wares to camp would also help a lot

I feel as if BG3 could do a lot more with the "wares" marker to make the weight limit less annoying

Moving cups and plates from one char to another just isn't fun

The only thing annoying with BG3 is that "sell all wares" only refers to those at the current character

I'd have liked it if stuff marked as wares would always be automatically distributed between the characters (or that there was a button to do this)

Also why can I select multiple items at once and move them between characters but not mark multiple items as wares?

Why can't I save that every cup I pick up should go to wares automatically?

I feel as if BG3 could've made the whole carrying thing far less annoying with ways to do less inventory management

The problem is that there absolutely need to be political measures taken and those will have to mean that gas gets far more expensive, flying won't be easily possible anymore and meat will be a special treat instead of the go-to option

But unless a decent amount of people change to show politicians that they can be re-elected even if they pursue those changes noone will even try

A politician promising rising prices (even if indirectly) will never have any success as long as it's possible for opponents to run on a platform of "nothing has to change" that denies the reality

Of course they know that what they do is wrong

But thoughts aren't criminal and if they manage to control their attraction in a way that hurts no-one (like this ai-generated stuff or the child-sex-dolls or other things that are very creepy to almost everyone else) then they should totally be normal members of society

I'm not saying that they should be proud of it and see it as something normal - it's definitely a psychological issue - but denying them stuff that helps them satisfy their urges without hurting anyone should be a good step to help them face their sexuality instead of suppressing them

I think it should totally be possible to access things like it but it should also be necessary to link to a helpline like the one you mentioned (Germany has something like that) similar to how a helpline for suicide is necessary if someone mentions that subject

No one chooses to be a pedophile - as far as we know it's just the unluckiest possible sexual attraction.

Stigmatizing it won't help anyone - those people need help and everything that doesn't hurt real children until they get themselves that psychological help is good in my book

One of the biggest German meat production companies started introducing vegetarian and vegan products 10 years ago - last year they made more profit from then than from their meat branch and are remodelling meat-processing factories for replacements - it's just like everywhere - if you don't lead or follow the change you'll have to try to stop change itself

The shitty thing is that this culture war against replacements is also majorly fucking up our chances to combat climate change as a change away from the meat-heavy diet most people have on a population level would be one of the most effective changes we could make as a society to give us a better chance...

Also to add to that: a lot of the European carmakers also fought governments hard to give them more time with their fossil fuel cars and not to push/benefit EV as much as they wanted

Then Tesla came along and suddenly they had a lot of catch-up to do when they realised that people actually wanted those cars and now they are the ones behind the market since they slept to long

In Germany there's a saying: "Wer nicht mit der Zeit geht der geht mit der Zeit" - basically: "If you're not moving with the changes they will force you out eventually"
