I can 100% guarantee this is the UK comic magazine Viz.

It often has ridiculous made-up articles like this.

I'm not sure exactly how this should be classed. According to the article it deactivates part of the cancer cells which then allows the patients own immune system to attack and destroy them.

So it isn't really a treatment as it doesn't destroy the cancer itself. The patient's own immune system does that.

However a vaccine technically works by providing the immune system with the "blueprint" of the disease so the immune system knows how to destroy it if infected. Which isn't what this is doing.

I suspect it probably has a long scientific name that average people won't understand and makes for a crap headline.

With a non pc sound system this track could be used to crash nearby PCs.

The article says they implemented code to stop the PCs playing frequencies that could crash themselves or others nearby.

Also I can infer from this that there's a frequency for 7200 and 10000 rpm drives. I wonder what tracks would disrupt those ones?

Keep them all in a special plastic box that is inside a powerful electromagnet.

Push button and a field that is strong enough to damage the cards almost instantly and over a short time would generate enough heat to physically damage the cards.

With enough power and time you could turn them into one hot blob that wouldn't even be recognisable.

So near instant data damage and then physical destruction probably before someone can work out what's going on.
