Especially considering she says she never closed the drawer??

I didn't know this either! Just seen their site, they have several packages: https://www.zrythm.org/en_GB/download.html

I think it is fair enough that they need to make money somehow but looks like they have only made £155 in November which is a shame. I have been a low-level donor for Ardour for 12 years now, and you can see they make something like £4000. I will check out Zrhythm properly as they obviously put a lot of effort in.

Got to say I strongly disagree, I have used Ardour and other DAWs extensively. Ardour is a very good DAW but it's MIDI capabilities are still improving. Zrhythm and Ardour came from different angles and seems like they are both becoming more modern.

Spammers never ever leave voicemails, that's how I know a call was spam. If someone actually needs me, either I have their numbers already or they leave a voicemail

Just the other day I tried to remove pipewire from my system but didn't look at the list of packages to be removed... Turns out it removed gnome desktop and so booted into CLI 🤦‍♀️

From a cursory search it seems possible to reverse usb tether on Linux so should be fine. Yes the SBC would charge the phone if the SBC had a good enough power supply.

Re: tor yes that could be done if you know how to configure Linux.

I watched the first episode of this and didn't really laugh once, does it get better?

[–] christophski@feddit.uk 2 points 7 months ago (2 children)

Do you use that old laptop for anything else? That is probably drawing a huge amount of power just to reverse tether the phone, could definitely be accomplished with a extremely low power SBC nowadays

That is the example they gave in the article...

You can stream it wherever you are in the world without having to keep it on your phone

The Great Court is the largest covered public square in Europe. The ceiling is made up of 3312 panels, every panel is a unique shape.

I heard this on The Infinite Monkey Cage yesterday and had to look it up and share.

Are they worth reading?

What's something happening in your field of work or study that you think could really change things in the future?

Sorry, not directly stargate related but thought you lot might find it interesting

What is your software/hardware set up?

I'm currently running Ubuntu, but the way things are going with snap et Al I'm looking to move to something else soon.

My software setup has barely changed in a long time. Ardour is the core of all my production, I use qjackctl for handling Jack, Hydrogen for drums and then occasionally throw in a bit of Renoise or Bitwig for extra synth/sampler needs. I like to keep it simple and this really works for me.

What do you use?

Not sure how I feel about this tbh, fair play if that's what he wants to do. I don't think it will make me stay with reddit. The community feel of lemmy and kbin is making me finally enjoy contributing again. Towards the end with reddit it felt so... Pointless.

I'm currently using Jerboa but curious to know whether any of the ones popping up are a better experience!

I've been looking at getting a j4125 based mini computer because I need that gigabit ethernet.
