Ist schon ne Weile her, aber soweit ich mich erinnern kann schmeckten die total nach Pappe. Also so richtig wirklich Pappe.

they don't want to deal with potential trolls

That's a bit of a misrepresentation. They said that most of their current actual moderating tasks were due to users from the two defederated instances.

I was wondering what was up as well. Seems to be a problem that affects multiple instances.

No, assholes need to learn to behave within the context of the instance / community they are posting to or get downvoted / moderated. Ideally they go away to their own instance where they can be assholes to each other and be defederated.

Hi, just to let you know that I, too, once thought I could never give up animal products. I used to eat a shit load of meat and cheese almost every day. But then after one Christmas a couple of years ago I stopped (at least with the meat, I became vegan later on).

At first it was kind of difficult, because I had to come up with new / more / other meals to eat. But after a few weeks I got used to it and looking back, I realize that it was actually very easy - at least much easier than I initially thought. There's so much in the way of replacement products nowadays. Seriously, if I could do it, you can too. It also helps to not think "does this dish taste like the animal product version?" and instead think "is this dish tasty?"

Was also going to suggest KeePass and syncthing, it's been working flawlessly for a long time. In case of conflicts, at least keepassxc allows you to easily merge databases.
