“Easy.” Being the president of the United States is “easy.”

I guess when pa Trump sets such a sterling example, the job must seem effortless.

Not technically, but a lot of queer people use it as an umbrella term. As the saying goes: we are all f_ggots in the eyes of the state.

Not just school boards. It’s culturally accepted in Oklahoma. The parents often participate.

A lot of the better creators are on Nebula. I don’t think they’d take Pewds though.

My state is 49th in education, and we are trying to be 50th. I tutor now, and would say only half the chemistry classes in the state get past balancing equations.

Not in high school chemistry. If they ended the year remembering the difference between ionic and covalent I was happy. (If they could remember polarity, I’d feel so much dopamine that I might as well as shot heroin)

Also on Grindr. Every other ad.

It’s institutional here, and many other schools in Oklahoma.

As a teacher (not in Owasso) I often had my hands tied. Administrators don’t want you to do anything. You can report it to them, but they’ll do nothing.

And this was higher level decision making. The fact that they still insist it was “mutual combat,” the fact that Nex was murdered and this was covered up.

Someone find me another successful suicide on Benadryl and Prozac.

Ya know, as a gay trans teacher who is apparently a danger to children by existing -

Like, me being gay and trans was completely irrelevant to what I was doing? I taught stoichiometry. Sometimes I mentioned I had a husband, because students will do absolutely anything to distract from the task at hand and ask five billion questions.

But there was never a “hey I’m the gay and we are going to learn about the gay and I’m going to test you about the gay.” I didn’t have time for that shit even if I wanted to. I want to teach fucking stoichiometry.

It’s being pushed by the TERF/radfems on tumblr (covert alt right movement) as well. Birth control messes up your goddess energy or something.

Mental health justice - primarily for children.

Mental health care in southern states is a hell right now. A lot of child welfare agencies have taken Trump’s election as permission to stop functioning.

I also used to work with a lot of undocumented children, but it’s no longer safe to be a trans teacher. So I do independent outreach, education. Trying to make all children feel valued.

I’ll probably switch to salads once I get the hang of it. I do have a dehydrator and work has a food pantry, so I’m sure it’ll all end up being used.

A lot of non goodwill thrift stores will do bulk bags of T-shirts that no one will ever want (think blood donation drives, fraternity or business events, etc etc). These can be stupidly cheap.

The ideal is the biggest t-shirts you can find - look for XXL plus for the best results/most yarn, but any size will work.

Start with a t-shirt folded in half. I use rotary cutters to make the process quick/easy.

You want to cut roughly along this line, leaving you with just the armless trunk of the shirt.

Cut on the side where the two ends meet (just to make it easy). You want 1.5” or so strips. Maybe 3-4 cm. Err on the side of thickness, to help it not snap during the stretching process later.

(Sorry for terrible lighting and the general chaos of the work area)

Then, put your arm through the truck to make it easier to start your cutting. You can start on either end, on one of the two sides where the “ribs” meet. Cut at an angle to meet your other cuts.

Keep cutting to make a continuous strip. On one side you’ll cut down at an angle to meet the next rib, on some sides you’ll cut straight. Try to keep the width of your strip sorta consistent, it’s not too big a deal though as long as it doesn’t get too thin.

Keep going around until you get to the final loop. Finish by cutting at an angle to get an unbroken length of t-shirt.

Find a post or other stable place to begin stretching the shirt around. I usually stretch holding maybe one - two feet of length on both sides. You don’t want to pull hard, and be especially gentle on thinner areas. The hems are usually safe to be pretty tough on - you want to hear them snap.

Once you’ve stretched the whole length, you can wrap it in a nice little ball of t-shirt yarn.

I knit mine to make quilt batting (you can use the leftover tops/interesting graphics as your backing or front). Somewhere in between size 11-15 needles is a good idea. Because of the weight of the yarn, circular needles are best. Crochet seems like it would be tough, but I suck at crochet anyway. If you accidentally break off small length or mess up your cutting process, it’s fine material to weave with or incorporate in mixed media. There‘s probably rag rug techniques that would work well with this too.

I think this is a great way to take advantage of the horrors of fast fashion/textile waste.

You can also modify this technique for plastic bags. You’ll just need to cut the bottom as well as the top, and consider the strength of the plastic when stretching. Walmart bags suck (use them carefully with an iron for laminating projects), but thicker plastics from bougier stores work fine.

For context - I searched “TM 28 Tombstoner” - a non existent move in any Pokémon game, which was always intended to be a joke.

I’ve experienced torture, it’s essentially legal to fire me at any point for being trans (which has happened multiple times) and I’m financially fucked to the point where I am bordering homelessness.

I can teach science, math, history and have experience and certifications. I will move anywhere in the world (that is safe/has access to testosterone) to teach, as long as I can have help figuring out visas and maybe help with the cost of the plane getting there.

I’ve thought about Peace Corps, but I am concerned that the current administration will fuck with that program too.

My current working strategy is a ham hock and chicken stock. I would like to switch to something that doesn’t involve dead animals.

(As a side note - I’ve noticed that if I leave my beans soaking for a little longer, they seem to bubble and ferment. Could I possibly make alcohol this way?)

I’m really desperately fucked and my electricity is supposed to be shut off soon. I’m not sure if I’m going to make enough for rent this month.

I’m a very good tutor. I can do math at all levels, basic programming, essay editing and feedback, chemistry (not organic), physics.

I’m sorry if this isn’t the right community but if I could just find a few people who’d give me $20 to do a video walkthrough of an assignment that would help. I don’t want to ebeg, I want to provide a service in exchange for money.

It’s a hilarious read. He depicts himself as such a ridiculous and goofy loser it’s hard to believe that he wrote it.

He needs more memes.

I feel like I’ve been completely abandoned by society. I don’t have insurance. I can barely afford survival medical care. I had to stop seeing my shrink because I’ve run completely out money.

I don’t want to exist anymore, but saying that gets me thrown into a prison where I’ll be hurt more and costs me even more money. There has been no help at any point.

I’m having a can of chili beans with an egg and some shredded cheese mixed in while it was heating up.
