Essentially, it transforms dry heat into wet heat, which is much worse.
I think this is key, you need to cool the room enough for it to not qualify as heat anymore.

They would see and hopefully obey the stop signs though. :)
Leaving for a rival was once taboo, but now, “openly applying to SK Hynix has become our culture,” Cho, a process engineer, told Rest of World.
Even his manager has encouraged his team to jump ship, Cho said. “‘Why aren’t you applying to SK Hynix?’” he recalled the manager saying. “‘Get out of here fast!’”
“All the talented engineers are leaving,” he said. “That’s how we’re falling behind.”
Engineers are asked to log overtime as “nonworking” hours so that Samsung doesn’t violate the government’s 52-hour workweek limit, Han and five others said. “I work many hours for free,” Han said.
While a cheap evaporative cooler doesn't help with the humidity you can boost the cooling effect dramatically by adding cooler blocks to the water and even more by placing more cooler blocks in a plastic under-bed container in front of the fans.
If the sound is disrupting then closing the bedroom door and running it in the evening before bedtime works fine.
I'd take it farther, don't put meat in an open compost.
The annual Connected Lives survey from broadband and telecoms provider Pure Telecom also reveals that 40% of people would turn down €5m in cash if it meant they could never use the internet again.
Not sure how it is in Ireland (where the survey was held) but in Sweden you'll have a hard time accessing public services, banking, paying for parking and so on without internet. On the other hand I imagine you can go FIRE with the €5m invested in the stock market AND pay someone to handle internet activities for you.

Ah, I just use the default lemmy webui, if you've fallen for an alternative then I understand moving is hard. :)
I don't feel apart because I use another instance though, just that I strengthen the resilience of lemmy by using a smaller instance.
My lemmy.world account is a few days you ger than yours.

An option for you is to move to an instance that isn't defederated with beehaw, f.e. sopuli.xyz.
Because I'm used to noscript, I've tried using uBlock in stricter than default settings but found it hard to get into their flag system.
I do not trust 1st party by default in noscript and am pleasantly surprised anytime a site works without js.
I'm probably slow enough to not notice, or maybe the site is already cached when I'm done with noscript.
I'm happy that facebook is dying out more and more in Sweden. If it weren't for local groups coordinating in "Facebook groups" I believe it would be crashing even faster.
