Besides the obvious lack of understanding of political economy, there's repetition of a widespread misunderstanding of Trek. The idea that the Federation's socialism is only enabled by replicators. Replicators aren't invented until sometime between the TOS movie era and TNG, so the early 24th century. Earth is clearly post-capitalist by the mid 22nd. Vulcan had been socialist since the Age of Awakening, around the 4th century.

Not so much in the US? Non-research professors in the US are usually adjuncts, paid piece rates per class with no insurance and short-term contracts.

There used to be an award for most gratuitous use of the word "Belgium" in a serious film.

This is America. [...]  There's only four things we do better than anyone else

music

movies

microcode (software)

high-speed pizza delivery

Of course, that was written in the 90s. Can probably scratch music and software off the list now.

CEOs are actually the easiest role in a company to replace with an LLM, because their whole job is just to say meaningless, flattering, and reassuring things to investors.

My favorite summary of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact is "Stalin saying 'nice doggie, nice doggie' while reaching for a stick."

Low explosives, maybe? Will deflagrate rather than detonate?

Assuming everyone will recognize this as a joke, but "80" is for the 80 grains (5.2 grams) of flash powder in one. Real M80s are just above the legal limit for consumer fireworks, and require a license. But fireworks of a similar size with less charge are often labeled "M80" for marketing.
