Every video game should have an easy mode, I agree. Insisting a game must be hard and if you don’t like it play something else is definitely some sort of elite gamer opinion to be tossed onto the trash pile that is all gamer opinions.

Yup! I read Super-Imperialism and then shortly after read Debt: The First 5,000 years, and I think they compliment each other really well in being able to conceptualize how debt is wielded as a weapon.
