yeah, CIA provided the planning and equipment and they just grabbed some local manpower so they can take the fall instead if necessary. Textbook plausible deniability. Looks like the Ukrainian operatives got away with it anyway with Poland's help (they are so rabidly anti Russian they for sure would help them and the US with this)

from what I remember of the Geneva Conventions what constitutes a "uniform" is not high bar. A simple colored arm band or a bandana as long as its recognizable ( pflp-octoplushie ) is sufficient to be considered a legal combatant

yeah its Article 4

spoiler

A. Prisoners of war, in the sense of the present Convention, are persons belonging to one of the following categories, who have fallen into the power of the enemy:

(1) Members of the armed forces of a Party to the conflict as well as members of militias or volunteer corps forming part of such armed forces.

(2) Members of other militias and members of other volunteer corps, including those of organized resistance movements, belonging to a Party to the conflict and operating in or outside their own territory, even if this territory is occupied, provided that such militias or volunteer corps, including such organized resistance movements, fulfil the following conditions:

(a) that of being commanded by a person responsible for his subordinates;

(b) that of having a fixed distinctive sign recognizable at a distance;

(c) that of carrying arms openly;

(d) that of conducting their operations in accordance with the laws and customs of war.

And actually it seems uniforms aren't even required for Gazans in this war as long as they carry arms openly, armed resistance is legal under international law:

(6) Inhabitants of a non-occupied territory, who on the approach of the enemy spontaneously take up arms to resist the invading forces, without having had time to form themselves into regular armed units, provided they carry arms openly and respect the laws and customs of war.

while I'm sure the zionist defilers are drinking champagne tonight (may their end arrive swiftly and mercilessly), from my armchair across the ocean I never really got the impression Hanniyeh was especially vital to the resistance fighting on the ground. Certainly there's no shortage of seasoned commanders able to step up in that regard after months of urban combat.

Could this be a big deal politically though? I don't really know internal Hamas affairs. I'm sure that hostage deal that was "almost there" (for weeks) is pretty much dead now

Don't try to half cope, everyone will smell the desperation. Gotta embrace it and stay all the way bald. Other men seem to notice and care more about it than women honestly.

what Gerasimov has created with Skibidi has potential up there with what he's seen previously from his past work shepherding memorable characters to the silver screen. "He's building something that could be the next 'Transformers' or could be a Marvel universe," he said.

When Skibidi makes the jump from digital to physical form this fall as merchandise, the licensing deal that will put the internet sensation on the shelves raised eyebrows
