I think that the best thing you can do, right now, is to reach out to the transgender people in your lives and tell them you care, and if applicable, that you love them. This goes doubly so for the ones in the UK. I imagine that most, if not all of us really need to be told that someone gives a shit.

Yeah, there's much, much more to be done but I think that would be a nice place to start.

Theres a lot of really fucked up evil ones out of print that can be yours for the low, low price of however much they charge for 10,000 copies. Theres one where a holocaust survivor gets pilled on the very Jack Chick specific version of the Catholic World Conspiracy and immediately converts to evangelical christianity. "Squatters" is about Palestine and claims that the Nakba was self-inflicted, very "I support Israel because Jesus is gonna come back" type stuff. Queer people are portrayed worse than murderers are in the Jack Chick universe, lots of "but its okay they deserved it!" regarding SA and HIV/AIDS.

But yeah no some of this shit is hilarious (cw: queerphobia and animal abuse)

This eight panel sequence fucking slaughters me, I love Bobby.

spoilered for queerphobia and animal abuse

At the very end little Bobby never got saved. He's in hell now, fuck Bobby.

Tor Lundvall's ghost ambient work seems like it might fit. Sleeping and Hiding is one of his best albums in the genre, though Ice and The Mist are very good too (the song "29" on the latter being an all time favorite). He has a christmas concept album that's about solitude and isolation with the lights and the music off in the far distance. Its called Yule, and it's perfect. God I love his voice.

He also does synthpop.

IIRC /pol/ (as well as other boards) had a feature that would put flags on user's posts based off of the location they were posting from. This was easily spoofed using things like VPNs so if the numbers we're seeing here are at all related to that feature then this is functionally meaningless. Also, this looks like a screenshot from one of the archive sites, probably not related to the hack.

Sorry to be that guy.

To be clear, there are operations from all over the world that employ posting as a means to sway public opinion and manufacture consent. What I'm saying is that this image shouldn't be used as proof of one thing or another.

I'm not sure about that last part. While it may prove useful in the event of a climate collapse scenario I have doubts as to its purpose being so forward-thinking. The USA is white supremacist, built on slavery, the perpetrator of genocides and born from imperialism. Such a state turning its tools inwards is probably just the natural progression of things.

I actually went ahead and posted what I had to say anyways, I hope you don't mind.

The whole muscle loss/gain thing is very much "your mileage may vary". For what its worth I've been able to make gains nearly half a decade in. The supply chain disruption thing is scary but can be prepared for and just about every drug that feminizing HRT is comprised of is being used off-label. Spironolactone, for example, is generally refered to as a diruetic. This makes it much more widely available than would be otherwise.

The rest of what Im going to say is much less concrete than concerns about supply or biodynamics.

All things come to an end, and so will you. The possibility that things might get worse in the future shouldn't prevent you from making things better for yourself now. In the end, "what would it have been like had I taken that chance?" stings a whole hell of a lot worse than "damn, I sure fucked that one up".

HRT doesn't have to be a forever thing. Its your body, its your life. If it turns out that you don't like how it makes you feel you can stop at any time. However, if you never start you'll never get to make that choice.

Personally, I spent about half a decade coming up with reasons not to transition until things caught up with me and the fear of the nothing I was becoming overpowered the shame I felt towards my queerness. I didn't want to be dependent on drugs (at the time I was an unapologetic nicotine addict, so this is really funny), I didn't want to make myself vulnerable, and I didn't want to be wrong about all this. I started HRT conditionally, taking low doses of an antiandrogen before incorporating estrogen months later, just to give myself time to accept who I already knew I was.

I don't know you and I won't pretend I do, but I will say this: Go for it, get on HRT, there are people who can help you with the ins and outs so you won't have to go at it alone. This could be one of the best things you ever do for yourself. It might be hard at times but you were never going to lead a life free of struggle, so you should choose to struggle for something good.

Can I gently push back on your first and second points?

Chances are the provider got wind that there was a federal communication on gender affirming care and wanted to wait until the legal ramifications were understood.

It looks like the White House is trying to get state medicaid programs to drop GAC. Technically it's nothing legally binding at the moment but this will lead to care being dropped in some states.
