There's nothing to really understand. It's all just a performance designed to create the illusion that Turkey doesn't fully support Israel. It's political theater, staged so the Turkish public can feel better about their position in a NATO-aligned, subservient state.

Hating Israelis is inherently justified, just as Russian hatred toward Germans during World War II was born out of wartime atrocities, not ethnicity. But just as that hatred faded and Russians later lived peacefully with Germans in the GDR, emotions driven by conflict don’t define people forever. No group is irredeemable.
I love Iran. I love it so much. I'm sorry for ever not believing that it's the heart of the resistance. To the Iranian people, my deepest solidarity. Please, please for the good of the world bring down that evil entity.
