Chat, how do we feel about Gold Dust? On the one hand the intent of the character is to play on the homophobia, and arguably transphobia, of the late 90s WWF audience. On the other hand the character fucking rules, and eventually became a good guy character while wearing even more sexually provocative and gender-bending costumes, although he dropped his breathy manner of speech.
Yeah the comic started out during the dark ages of digital colouring, when there was soft gradients on fucking everything. It’s been interesting to see that evolve to a more contemporary look over the course of the series.
Is it because that song came out a longer period of time from now than there was between when the song came out and Stacy’s mom’s hay day in the 80s that the song talks about?

I’m reading through the comic now. The show is actually slightly better, it reworks the pacing of some plots so they flow better and adds whole subplots that give later story beats more context and impact.
