I mean as a Canadian, I knew that was coming since early last year if Trump would win. I couldn't know where we would land on the spectrum between nothing changed and Armageddon. What I did know was that, without fail, I would hear what stupid thing Trump did just about every day in the news, and it would be overwhelmingly exhausting.

I have three pieces of advice. First, connect with the people around you offline, reinforce your ground truth. Second is keep your eyes on the ball of what you want to be better in the world so that you can keep going after it. Lastly, don't let right or left wing online propaganda, or the despair from crises the US, Israel, Russia, China or North Korea stir up paralyze you from taking action on those two things.

I mean I think its fine if people "know" the places they have to slow down for the cameras, if those places pose a greater risk of damage/injury from speeding than others.

Sometimes I see police cruisers on the side of the road flashing their lights on which seems like a similar principle: they aren't trying to catch anyone but they are trying to slow them down through the area and it's effective.

Stephen Miller wants over a million immigrants in jail, legal, innocent, criminal, undocumented, doesn't matter. That many bodies in jail cells, so we're only at the beginning.

I already know it's a lie. You know how? It came out of Trump's mouth.

I would love to go to the USA, but I can't go when the country's leader is deranged enough to send stealth doritos to drop bombs on countries it wasn't even officially at war with.

Secede or depose Trump and then we can talk about me heading back over.

If you see stuff like that you're either at a military commissary, or No Frills.

Oh yeah and I noticed it was a federal issue too, not state... let me change my comment a bit.

GOP is going to put their big government taxes on you Texans, Oklahomans and true freedom lovers. Then they'll give big handouts to oil companies, letting them freeload on the infrastructure you paid to help develop (roads, water, certification, etc.). Is that what you want, Republican voters?

Ihave a unique opportunity to add a node at the Tower LNB ring. However I'm struggling to source a Meshtastic gateway that meets the requirements I'v been given. Any help would be appreciated.

  1. Power will be provided over 48v POE ONLY
  2. Remote management is a must, consider both internet provided over ethernet and 4G/LTE as backup (fw updates)
  3. Maximum 5db gain antenna can be used positioned on the LNB ring facing N-NW, must not exceed 1400mm in length
  4. Must be tuned for exactly 915mhz (l'm thinking cavity filter) to help with Rx.
  5. Enclosure and antenna must be pole mounted
  6. Absolutely no wifi 2.4 or 5ghz
  7. 500CND budget 'd like a set it and forget it approach. ls it even worth it?

According to a new study by the Angus Reid Institute, 76% of Canadians say they’re boycotting American products.

61% of Canadians also say they’re cancelling or delaying trips to the U.S., while 86% say they’re buying more Canadian products.

“The cross-border data already proves it: Canadians are cutting back their travel to the U.S. to levels last seen during COVID-19. These numbers may drop further, considering that 3 in 5 Canadians say they’re cancelling or delaying plans to travel across the border. In addition to this, the proportion of Canadians saying they’re boycotting American products or buying more Canadian products is already high and appears to be growing.”

Filing taxes in Canada is relatively simple compared to the USA. See the site for various options, but try to find ones not operated by American firms such as H&R Block and TurboTax.

From a cursory search, TaxTron, GenuTax, Better Tax appear Canadian. Many are Pay-What-You-Want model.

If you have a complex tax situation and/or can't file online, and/or don't want to do the paper return yourself, consider seeing an independent Canadian accountant.

ETA: TurboTax blames filers for incorrect claims in Ontario getting audited, causing Canadians to owe thousands.

Both things can be true, but it's funny that two opposite sounding replies came to this one comment about US politics.

Une explication divertissante que pourquoi les droits de douanes vont faire mal des États-Unis et une guerre commerciale avec ses pays alliées très stupide.

Gluten-Free, Non-GMO Chips made in Surrey, BC, by a Canadian owned company, Naturally Homegrown Foods. Most flavours of theirs are vegan (Honey Dijon being an exception).

On the about page:

Why do your products contain both domestic and imported ingredients?

To ensure our products remain non-GMO, sometimes sourcing within Canada is not an option. Our seasonings often contain spices, which may not be available in Canada due to our climate.

We also take transportation emissions into consideration. For example, we are far closer to say, Oregon than we are to Prince Edward Island.

Yukon-born, BC resident Jasmine Mooney describes the horrifying experience.
