Because those are what Americans think they believe in, not what they actually believe in when push comes to shove. You overthrow an American-aligned tyrant and you're suddenly a terrorist, the wrong people wield guns and they're suddenly taken away (see: Black Panthers) and I'd certainly like someone to tell the prison-industrial complex about the liberty stuff. Americans like to call these "American values," but if you care at all about these values and take even a cursory look through America's history and at its modern states, the only logical conclusion is to hate America's guts. Therefore, being un-American or anti-American says nothing about one's disposition towards tyranny or liberty.

He's the first successful example of a fascist takeover, is what I meant.

Tehran “is the principal source of regional instability and terror,” declare G7 leaders in a joint statement.

The leaders of the G7 countries on Monday issued a joint statement saying Iran should not have nuclear weapons and affirming Israel's right to defend itself.

I never had much hope, but come the fuck on. Statements like these unironically make me want to cheer for the fascists.

They're not, but genocide is also a very American act gestures at manifest destiny. My point isn't that entities hostile to America are good guys by default, but that so-called American values are and have always been a farce and that supporting or opposing something depending on its "American-ness' is illogical.

"Unamerican" is just another word for "sane" and has always been save for a short period during the 1940s.

And we will never think of or hear about this guy ever again.

Of the first successful 21st century fascist? No way. Give it a few decades and you'll start getting neo-MAGAs.

Stay fascist, Israel.

Simply being removed from office without heavy consequences for all of them just sends the message that the next sleazebag can start to slowly carve a path on the shadows and attempt success where these grifters failed.

Even if there are heavy consequences, without massive social and economic reforms fascism will rear its ugly head within a generation. Both are necessary, and I don't see nearly enough talk about the latter.

See: Black Panthers.

Given that the person who accidentally shot Ah Loo also credibly prevented a mass shooting, that's not the gotcha you think it is.

Top: TFW when Nazi Germany wasn't Nazi.

Bottom: This mod just removed a rhetorical question because "nobody said that"???

Thread in case y'all wanna see the context. Everything below the first paragraph was added after my response.

One thing Trump tried to do after getting inaugurated was considering Mexican cartels terrorist organizations, and for that he was attacked by Sheinbaum for violating Mexico's sovereignty. But, at least as far as I've read on the topic (whcih is not a lot to be fair), nobody actually explains why that's the case. I mean at a glance you'd think the Mexican government would benefit from such an action, or at least I did. It's pretty obvious to me I'm missing a piece of the puzzle, so does anyone here have it?

Edit: Thanks for the answers. Now it makes sense.
