Getting to the point where tech bros are handed out bullshit military ranks like Israeli soldiers just makes sense. They're not a junior web developer, they're actually brigadier general of the home page.

Things happen but they don't change much, just isn't as catchy.

Trump is a parody of himself. He's always doing things that are surreal and sound like a joke like with that McDonalds dinner for the athletes or whatever.

It's a fascist tradition to have an incomprehensible death drive.

English also has no organization to oversee it like French or German does, so the rules are more described by custom than formally defined by an organization and nothing is done to make things coherent.

They have no empathy, and I expect them to learn nothing from this other than the strength of Iran's military might. They have only learned to not punch a bear in the face and will still brutalize others when they can.

It's something that's been popping up in the news more frequently in the past year or so. The avian flu has been going through and destroying wildlife populations as well as farm animals. Factory farm condition make it a lot easier for the disease to mutate which scares people since we have gone through covid.

More doomer parts of the internet circulate the stories and act like it will kill a billion people and collapse the modern world. It does have a high case fatality rate currently (~60% of people who end up in the hospital) but if it transmits human to human then it will fundamentally be a different disease and less lethal. We already have a vaccine for an old strain which is good news.

It is something that should be taken seriously, but modern, neoliberal countries don't care about having a functional society so it's a waiting game for something to happen and see how bad it gets. No idea how long evolution will take to make it happen though.

Edit: also people who survive commonly get to have completely fucked up neurological issues.

We'll never really know because antivaxxers are running the department of health and human services. RFK Jr. and his buddies are destroying public health in the US so we won't have any good numbers.

I disagree because they'll report it only after it's wreaking havoc. Imagine if covids first city crippling outbreaks had been in the US and you basically have what could happen with the bird flu if it starts to transmit human to human. It would be a complete shitshow but they'll go through weeks of denial and "it's just the flu".

Their airspace was going to be closed eventually. What ultimately matters is that the Israelis are feeling a fraction of the terror that they've inflicted on others and they can't take it. These aren't the original settlers that were violent true believers put there by the British, deeply scarred holocaust survivors, or WW2 vets who saw brutal fighting and lost part of themselves.

We've seen the videos of modern Israelis being genocidal cringe lords who are only really comfortable when they have overwhelming dominance. I don't know how sustainable the zionist project is at this point but we can see a lot of it buckling. Ultimately, Israel has been getting everything that they wanted and it's destroying everything that they've built.

Can't believe Iran is denying their right to return.

That said, the US government is not interested in seeing this conflict between Israel and Iran escalate.

It's supposed to be a policy of controlled chaos in the middle east, and an actual direct war between Israel and Iran probably isn't what they had in mind. I don't really know where the US wants to go from here, but I doubt direct military intervention from the US could last too long before they get a black eye.
