You're overthinking it.

Just tested reporting a post on lemmy.world using my lemmy.ml account and I got the report on my lemmy.dbzer0.com account:

I can confirm that the report resolve didn't federate when I did it from the lemmy.dbzer0.com account. It also didn't federate on the second test when resolved on lemmy.world account and was still visible on the lemmy.dbzer0.com account.

That's still different from what was originally said and everyone would have benefited if it was just a bit longer and informative of the situation. I for example didn't knew that report resolving is guaranteed to not get federated and thought it's similar to report federation where that just sometimes happen. So I as a mod for months would have learned something new without going back and forth on this topic because of close but inaccurate info. Anyway, everyone came to an agreement so it's all good. Have a good day.

Blaze... You were already corrected on that by someone else some time ago and you're a mod too. Reports DO federate but it's just that sometimes they don't. Also try informing users that this will be fixed in the lemmy v1 to let them know it will be fixed. In fact it was already implemented and some other stuff needs work before the full release of v1.

This is literally misinfo.

Maybe a misclick where correction after it didn't federate? Dunno.

And fascinating too! The duality of humanity.

Agree about the pic.

Seriously, how the hell is anyone supposed to keep up with this stuff? Or moderate it? I've once been on a relatively small server where I could keep up with everything interesting and chat with people I knew. Then it grew, moderation became bad, chats were moving too quickly to even keep up in real time, let alone catch up to what I missed when away. A lot of new people and too many of them to actually build bonds and remember who is who. Countless different discussions happening in the same place at once between different people making things a mess. Topics shifting constantly in real time so if you go do something it already shifted a few times by the time you're back. Also due to activity you need to actively engage a lot if you want to know what's even going on in there because things aren't organised to neatly revisit conversations. Quitting this server was such a relief because I didn't need to keep up with anything anymore. I still keep in touch with 2 people from there months later though.

E: Plenty dramas too between users I don't really know and the whole server's mood shifting and talking about it while I just want to hang out. Big discord servers suck.

I love this feature! :D

Edit: I assume the trusted instances setting operates in allowlist mode but maybe a disallowlist would be good too if you want to minimise impact of bad actors from few specific instances? After all it would be a shame to exclude small and personal instances when it's few specific instances causing problems.

My feedback is to allow post/comment actions by swiping to the right because I like to regularly switch hands I use to hold my phone and it would allow for more flexibility. :3

I hope the request isn't too complicated. :x
