I can’t wait to explain my parents and grandparents how to not be tricked into installing some random app that a AI voice on TikTok/Facebook recommends, that is not suspicious at all downloaded from a weird domain.

Good that you can connect an actual PC Mouse via USB. Minecraft and Shooters are gonna feel different in Switch now.

Good point. I looked mostly at the spec sheet from the manufacturer and for example the Samsung 870 Evo vs Seagate IronWolf NAS Drive. Side note, AFAIK NVME drives have a higher power consumption. Especially PCIe 5.0.

My NAS with 2 HDDs from Seagate has a total powerdraw of around 30-40w. And I don’t spin the drives down.

  1. Latency of accessing files/loading times
  2. Lifespan reduction because of spin up / spin down Head moves (the most common for head crash, as I learned from my Teacher)

Most of the power draw is from the hdds. I have the same issue. If you want less power consumption. Invest in SSD or SSD and HDD hybrid where you store quick access files on SSD and rare access on hdd (then you can spin them down with timeout of , let’s say 30-60 min). This should save some energy

WTF, this is new to me. Sounds like generic distro hop with less steps. Nice

I actually use the action button on a daily basis.

It’s a fork from someone’s super action buttons shortcut that outputs a list view of commonly used commands and apps. But I added some nice to have tweaks. First , I test for internet connectivity, get the current location and the current focus mode and iPhone orientation and if the phone is locked or not. Now if I press the action button. If I am at a Bus/Train Station, my Ticket in the Wallet opens. If I am at home in my bed, the TV Remote opens. If I am at the University, the Uni Application opens. If I am at work, my To Do list opens. If the screen is locket or turned upside down, it toggles the silent mode. If none of the criteria are met, the shortcut list opens.

If you want to see it , I can prepare a version with removed personal information.

Are there any other apps that have animated or changing icons? I only know the Apple ones , calendar and clock.

  1. UniversalUpdater This is like a package manager for HB Apps that also provides an easy way to update them.

  2. Checkpoint/JKSM Save manager for games. Always good to backup save data or to extract them for editing.

  3. TWL Patcher Featured in my last post, DS game upscale and widescreen patches.

  4. Pretendo/Nimbus Custom online play server from the pretendo community.

  5. Anemone3DS Theming tool for 3DS HomeMenu. With direct download support and QR code scanner. Very convenient

  6. Fast PlayCoin Set your playcoin count to 300 instantly. Also possible with JKSM

  7. FBI Title Manager and installer, also with QR code and URL support.

  8. ftpd pro FTP provider for 3DS, my go to tool to transfer files.

  9. GYTB Custom HomeMenu Badges

  10. ModMoon Mod manager for 3DS.

I have a MacBook Pro M2 (Touchbar) and since I have it, on every MacOS version, I couldn’t share my LAN connection over WiFi. I use a Thunderbolt 3 Dock but also tried a direct USB-C to LAN adapter.

When I enable Internet sharing and configure it with PSK wpa2/3 and a SSID, it opens a Hotspot with default values and without PSK. Also you can’t connect to it. Does anyone have the same problem?

Just a reminder that this thing exists. I use it for all my DS games and it is a new experience to see them in Widescreen and upscaled on the 3DS screen.

The Dock fits perfectly into the IKEA Kallax. Also the Bobo m3 also works with the Dock. Still hoping that the new Bobo battery is compatible with charging on the Meta Dock.
