PSL has gotten a letter from a sitting US congressman accusing them of supporting terrorism and to keep all their communications for potential subpoena. I don't know I do actually think they need to say it for whatever good optics that gives them. It just seems like such basic, obvious shit for an org like this in America. You have to "play the game."

guys please think about the troops, who are notoriously doing tons ofremoveds on bases which are not being properly investigated or prosecuted and also have been going overseas to do crimes against humanity for decades they are actually "good" okay
There are Christian historians you can absolutely take seriously. Bert Ehrman approaches this stuff with with real academic vigor. He is one of the very few who have published actual papers in respected journals on the historicity of Jesus. So he is the go-to guy for "Jesus was real". I'm just saying that the assumption was "Jesus was real" in the west for hundreds of years without any real study on the matter. Now we have a few people pushing back on the idea. Dr Richard Carrier is the most prominent and one of the only people who has published actual papers in journals on the un-historicity of Jesus. There are a few others. The number of people who have actually published on this topic you can count on your fingers. If there were to be a real debate on the subject the two dudes involved would almost certainly be these two.
This is EXACTLY why I think the CPUSA was smart for their little "We support nonviolent resistance" thing. Whether they do or not I truly feel like they needed to release that. Yeah, the state is going to do what they are going to do regardless but you have to do the little song and dance at least. You can't neglect it.
