As a long term benzo addict I strongly urge everyone to stay the fuuuuck away from that class of drug other than exceptional circumstances such as aborting a really bad trip or a TEMPORARY genuine medical need. I'd rather introduce someone to hard opiates than have them get hooked on benzos. If you're prone to any kind of anxiety they are SUPER fucking risky to mess with for recreation. Whatever relief you gain in the short term you will pay for ten times over at least on the other side.

They're the first drug I fell in love with and once I got a serious supply going.. yeesh. To say "I'm lucky to be alive" doesn't even come close to it. I've got holes in my memory that last fucking years at this point. I've seen the withdrawals nearly kill a friend and leave them permanently brain damaged.

I've been banned from a bunch of places. The funniest one was Twitter, for "violent threats" against TERFs in general. Just got rolled up by a bot and reported, then doubled down when my suspension was over. I was down to get banned so idgaf. My posts were not targeted at anyone in particular and did not constitute anything approaching a believable, realistic or targeted threat. It was just a funny bit. X did not reinstate my account when Musk took over.

I won't mention the others cuz that would quickly narrow down who I am to some people.

The feds watching me have long since lost their minds due to having to watch me watch the same meme music videos every day for a month. Hey if I can't get it out of my head, neither can you, fedboys.

Yeah it's ironic because career criminals tend to commit crimes within their own communities rather than laying in wait hoping an unknown victim walks by.

It's not always "just" racist hogwash. You've also got fear-of-the-poor hogwash in general.

Ironically some of the most neglected children I've met have been from absurdly wealthy families. It tends to be neglected children who find themselves out hunting for sport in their teenage years. Past that phase it's poverty and drug addiction under prohibition that has motivated more or less every violent criminal I've met that wasn't just victimising their own family.

Yeah, I don't know enough about H1N-whatever we're up to, to know how long people are infectious before they die, but basically shit goes transnational within the span of a plane flight. It could be everywhere before 90% of the world is even aware that it's happening.

The banning of observation and reporting in the US means like, yeah, we're all fucked. Monitoring and combating these diseases requires global cooperation and we're obviously not going to be seeing that any time soon.
