I would have challenged this two days ago but then I found out "Grimez" met Elon Musk on Lesswrong. I will level with you, meeting people off Discord, Reddit, and Twitter is feasible (or used to be for the latter ones). I am not happy to admit this. Why not activitypub? Or Matrix? People met thru IRC. Could you get into a tall hairy man who skulks around?

Heidegger and Hannah Arendt will never answer for the crimes they have committed against your brainpan

I guess I wasn't thinking about the bottom line enough, maybe a remnant of my pure FOSS ideology devoid of political consciousness

Not always 100% with Shea but worth reading

Let me give Kyle Rittenhouse a thematic apperception test I am normal and can be trusted to give marine candidates psychological exams

Rittenhouse being rejected by the marines for not even meeting the minimum "spell your name using only letters" score

Is this a joke or just like a non robust CTE screening

We will ban you if you insult, demean or harass anyone. That is not welcome behavior. This is distinctly different than ribbing or grilling someone.

This second part sounds a lot like "we can pretend to be your friends and insult you as much as you want, but retaliation is forbidden"

Can you explain the difference between actually upholding the first statement and what I've seen this turn out as, which is you insulting and demeaning anyone site regulars who know each other don't want to feel welcome for whatever reason?
