Democrats certainly have flaws, but focusing on them during an election of such consequence resulted in Trump. And so being "right" was worth it?????

Very near you, parts of North Carolina are very blue and open minded. And not too much of a culture shock...

Not the same, but I use an app to know what to buy, like Kleenex over Puffs, DelMonte tomatoes over Hunts, etc. GoodsUniteUs is the name of the app. Political donations by company.

Most of them don't have erasers, though. I have several in my bag

My first computer had 640k RAM, and ran on DOS 5. The first computer I used (not owned) ran CP/M

Just my opinion, but if it's flowing well, leave it be. We all need a bit of iron. I had a similar experience, part copper, part galvanized, and the water at the kitchen tap would take a day to fill a liter bottle. Too corroded and choked with rust.

Glad I'm not eating it...Pineapple with ham, but the tuna is a bridge too far. I love sushi and ahi, but not with cheese and a tomato sauce or pesto.

I do not see any brands that offer all I need. I'll be setting up TMHI (T-Mobile), and a mesh network through the house, because the TMHI device will not be centrally located in order to get the best position for signal. I also have two out-buildings that need limited internet - looking at point-to-point for those, and access points inside. I can find everything I need, but not under one brand. Also - I need more than two hard-wired connections inside the home. but most of the mesh 'masters' I see only have two - one in, one out... SO - I'm open to suggestions, please! thanks in advance for any and all assistance!

Pie is now in the oven. I think I might have added 3 tablespoons of flour instead of two. Could be thick. Won't know until tomorrow afternoon.

Glue line problems (lemmy.world)
submitted 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

No photos, just a question. When I do a glue up piece for a lamp or bowl, after I am finished, it's in the house, and after a week or two, I can feel the glue lines. Finished smooth as a baby's butt, satiny, and a week later,... Ugh!

Do I need to postpone the finish work, from lopping off tenons to applying the finish (poly, or wax, or danish oil, etc)? Remount after two weeks and re-sand?

Way more work than a blank, and more precision is required. Lessons learned, mistakes made. But not bad for a first time.
