Initial knee-jerk reaction to the post was that you were being an ass but I generally agree with you, though I think it could be fairer to some people here.
That said, I feel like you're taking an individualist tack here - we should work to improve our strengths and shore up our weaknesses, true, but not everyone has the same capabilities in the same applications.
Isn't that a large part of organization? The main goal of this post was to get people to join organizations and take advantage of the moment to pull the disgruntled people, the queer, baby leftists, etc., away from the limited liberal mindset - to bolster orgs.
Isn't the organization, and the nature of communist movements, designed to compensate for the weaknesses of the individual with the accumulated strength of many?
I do agree that there's a lot of nihilism among users here and that we, myself definitely included, should organize and not sink into apathetic defeatism, but I don't think, in a revolutionary organization, every member needs to be prepared to stand in front of the crowd and sway impressionable people to our cause. We certainly, as internet communists in broad strokes, need more who are ready to hecome organizers, but there other ways for individuals to help that are extremely valuable IMO.
It is an exact anagram of metronome though
