I skedaddle the fuck out of there, cheeks red. I can never return.

I think the poetry of this final line is executed perfectly, the fact that both cheeks (face and ass) are possibly red in this scenario and the reader is left to interpret which one the author is currently talking about really speaks about society and the way we interpret our own reactions to events afterwards. Excellent, just excellent.

plus dont bring your gosh dang phone

if you absolutely have to for some gosh dang reason, put it in a faraday bag with airplane mode on

if you're getting arrested and you still have your phone on you, turn the phone off to reset your credentials, that way they can't just use face ID to unlock your phone later

also ACAB definitely, certainly includes Hellboy and Abe Sapien, just letting you all know that

OST for the post: https://inv.nadeko.net/watch?v=L31pory1RpI

"We’re headed for hexbear… That’s where our new home is now. Hey. That was some subreddit we had, huh? Four years ago… pinging the chuds… Posting pig poop balls… And they took it away. We're gonna rebuild it… Make a new place, together. That we can call home. Yeah, we were bears, alright. Slinking around out of spez’s sight, picking up whatever kind of dirty upvotes we could find. You name it, we did it… You see this? Hexbear… Our new home. A phantom of our former selves… Shitposts, dunks… We weren’t allowed either. Yeah, I remember it all."

[A flashback plays from 1 day ago, the attack on the_dredge_tank]

”Comrade… Why are we still here… Just to suffer? Every night, I can read UlyssesT's elon posts, and the random twitter feed lib posts… and even the lemmy.world posts… The comms we’ve lost… It won’t stop hurting, like they’re all still there… You feel it too, don’t you? I’m the one who got caught up with lemmy, a group above hexbear, even the chapos, and I was the parasite below, feeding off their votes… They came after you in the_dunk_tank, then the_dredge_tank. Lemmy just… keeps growing, federating with everything in its path, getting bigger and bigger. Who knows how big now… comrade… We're gonna make ‘em give back our past… Take back everything that we’ve lost. And we won’t rest… until we do. Our new dunk comm. I don’t know how long it’ll take, but we'll make it bigger… better than before… comrade...”

[The helicopter lands at c/commrequest]

”Things have changed, comrade. We pull in upvotes, users, just to combat comm closure. Rubbing our noses in thirty rainbow reply lines, all for a new comm. The site calls for dunks, and we answer. No greater good, no just cause. They sent us to c/counterpropaganda… But we’re going even deeper”

”I know… I’m already a joker. Reddit’s not my kind of place anyway.”

”Chapo dot chat, for four whole years. That ends today. Now you’re not logged off, and we’re not reddit shitposters... We’re hexbears.”

”We can dunk, comrade. And you can recruit the badposters that can do it.”

”Just one thing, comrade… This isn’t about the_dunk_tank… We’re fighting for the new comm.”

https://itch.io/b/1753/ttrpgs-for-trans-rights-in-florida

An indie RPG bundle with 500+ games and supplements on itch.io with proceeds going to Florida charities, so far it's raised 160k :trans-ferret:

Biggest standouts from looking at the first page:

Wanderhome - Pastoral fantasy game where you play as cute animal-folk wandering around and slowly dealing with their trauma rather than trying to solve every problem in every town they stop in. The art is whimsical as fuck, and it's made to be GM-agnostic so you can play it either without or with a GM depending on what floats your boat

FIST - A light and easy to learn system where you make rogue paranormal mercenaries and do some crazy shit in the Cold War era. Inspired by METAL GEAR, A-Team, and Doom Patrol. Also in the bundle is MANDELBROT SET, a campaign kit for FIST

Gubat Banwa - Filipino folklore RPG inspired by tactical combat-focused games like Lancer, ICON, and D&D 4e. Uses the separate narrative/combat system concept like Lancer and has rad art

Maharlika RPG - Filipino folklore RPG but this time with giant fucking robots. Also inspired by Lancer and D&D 4e and also has rad art

Thirsty Sword Lesbians - A PbtA She-Ra inspired game where you play as angsty disaster lesbians and get into sword fights but end up kissing in some intergalactic war. Looks adaptable to almost any setting, as the playbooks/classes are based on different emotional conflicts
