Exactly this. Lots of companies have figured out that filling our landfills with cheap plastic crap is a lucrative business model. In this case, it's cheaply made and expensive to replace - making it hugely profitable. Shareholders would be furious if they were to fix this issue.

My thoughts exactly. A "safe environment" really means, "don't raise your kids in these shit hole, car-centric cities and towns all over America".
That was pretty awesome. I don't have any context, but seeing plain clothed civilians shout "get the fuck out of here you fucking Nazis" to a bunch of masked and hooded assholes in full military fatigues brings a smile to my face.

You'll also notice, in that Solo Stove abomination of a state, a distinct lack of cyclists. Because for huge chunks of the year, it's way, way too hot outside to walk or ride a bike the incredible distances necessary to go anywhere.

I agree with you because it's my anecdotal life experience. I'm quite successful in terms of my career and finances. I'm pretty good looking and outgoing. I'm also a single dad and I'm in a nearly year-long dry spell. My self esteem is awful. Not having sex is torture for me and it has nothing to do with societal norms. It's just biological misery.
