Just a PSA for any of you who might not be as active in Tracha:

We've sort of moved rooms (yes, again)! If you were already in the entire space, you may remember the aux room. That is now the main room, and the old main room is no longer being used. It's still up, you can still access it, but messages can no longer be sent, and it is no longer in the Tracha space. You aren't required to join that space (although it also has a room for vents and an activities room, the latter of which is pretty fun and the former of which separates triggering content from the main room), and this isn't something that immediately requires your attention, but I would certainly make sure you at least join the new main room (again, if you were already in the aux room, you're all set). The link to the new room is already in the old main room, so it's a quick and easy switch! I hope to see you there

Additionally, and this is completely independent from the rest of the mod team and completely my own thoughts, I wanted to gauge interest in a sort of chatroom. If there's interest, I can't guarantee that it will happen, so think of this more as a way to satisfy my curiosity. I am aware that chat rooms are more difficult for some, and for others they are easier. I also understand how straying from the mega can be taxing on this site, and that having an isolated safe space could have benefits. Of course, the mega already has the potential to be isolated. If you are familiar with the tracha matrix, I'm thinking of a similar sort of thing, but for this community instead of c/traaa. Let me know what you think! Doesn't have to be detailed, could be a simple yay or nay, and of course, don't feel obligated to answer. Remember, this is just for me, I'm not speaking as a mod here nor am I representing the mod team.

Same, that's really upsetting. I switched to another homeserver using conduwuit, but it seems like synapse is the only option at this point. I have other accounts on synapse instances, but it's still upsetting (not to mention the tracha space and some of the rooms run on transfem.dev).

Also, there is no reason it should have been getting the harassment it got. It's extremely disappointing to see, and I completely understand why she had to leave the project. Hoping that she's able to recover from all of this.

I don't consistently tune in (was really busy yesterday), but I'd say to watch the original. Like you've said, racist episodes weren't avoided, and I think the same should be done with ableist episodes. I would go into more, but it would just be re-stating what you've said, which I'm in complete agreement with. It seems better acknowledge it's existence rather than avoid it.
