I was lucky to have survived having gone my first 5 years of life with a heart valve that was back bleeding.

I also cannot tell when I'm having a ear infection unless liquid comes oozing out. I have had some many in my life that they just don't hurt at all.

I feel called out so badly here. I have so many started and unfinished stories I could drown myself in paper by printing them all out. At least that's what it feels like.

In my opinion ( haven't played or really seen the DLCs, so I'm just talking about base game ), Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Definitely had ups and downs when I did my only playthrough. Absolutely middle of the road compared to the official games ( completed gen 3, part way through gens 4-7 ) I have played and still even middle of the road compared to some of the fan games I've played over the years.

If you're like me and either don't have enough space or don't like moving a normal computer mouse around, a good trackball mouse is probably gonna be real good.

I originally got a cheap enough ergonomic wireless Logitech one from walmart for my then new laptop I got for college. Then, just maybe a month or two ago, I got an ergonomic one from Elecom to replace my standard mouse because it was having some click problems and scroll wheel issues. The only problem I have with either is how the ball on the Elecom one doesn't always move super smooth and I can't be as precise as I can with the Logitech one.

I personally think AROS ( AROS Research Operating Syste ) is pretty cool. Same with just the basic Amiga Workbench 3 series ( the only one I have any experience with ).

Obviously Amiga Workbench isn't daily driver ready, but neither is AROS since it's, from what I can tell, just an Amiga OS passion project trying to make a more modern more open source Amiga OS.

I wasn't there for the one in my city, but I was nearby getting a ride home after I was done at a pride month event. As I was waiting I saw a lot of older people getting dropped off to attend the protest.

I also saw a funny protest sign. I can't remember exactly what it said, but I wanna say it was something like:

small feet, small balls, all he does is tweet and golf

Caught me off guard and got a chuckle outta me.

I know it's a late answer, but I'm joining up with a club I've never really interacted with at the community college I attend to join a local pride parade. I may not be part of their community in terms of my sexuality, but support is definitely important for them, now more than ever.

To a degree. I'm the type of person who doesn't wanna interrupt people in a conversation if I need something from them and I absolutely hate that. Definitely should work on being a little more assertive some day in the future.

I use things like "excusé moi" for when I burp/belch and when alone and thinking out loud to myself will slip on random words I know from other languages if I end up on a random tangent. Otherwise, I tend not to.

No. Not even close to financially stable as a college student in his mid-20s.

Also, if I did want kids, I think I'd rather adopt than bring a child into a world that is dying and end up not being able to ensure they have a future that doesn't end in apocalypse.

I think my all time favorite as of now is still Taiwanese singer Jam Hsiao and I have seen him live 0 times because he hasn't come tour America. And there's no way he'd be coming over now because it doesn't matter if he's famous or not, I guarantee he'd probably be deported to jail in South America just for being Asian.

Vibe coding ain't any different from going to any website in the world, copying whatever code you can find, and then wondering why your PC has been infected with ransomware because you're too dumb to understand what any of the code does.

It's also extremely unprofessional, in my opinion, and, also in my opinion, shows you don't understand a programming language enough to be using it in a professional setting ( for software regardless of whether it's private or public use ) whilst also being too lazy to read any form of documentation.

Anyone who calls themselves an"vibe coder" are people I assume never passed kindergarten because clearly they lack any form of critical thinking.

Steam deck (LCD model) will, at no point, turn on unless plugged into charger or hooked up to the dock, regardless of how much battery is left. No response when trying to do things like booting into bios or anything else. Works perfectly fine when plugged in, docked to TV or standalone. No feedback at all, either, from buttons or trackpad haptics either when unplugged.

I've done a bios/firmware reset thing while plugged in and let that go for a while, following the advice of a Steam community forum (not sure whether the blinking power indicator thing is supposed to stop blinking when it's done, but I definitely let it go for longer than the forum post was saying). Went through the process of going through and enabling the main channel OS updates as well through dev settings and updating didn't fix it.

Have taken the backplate off and everything looks fine (I'm not an expert on mechanical things, though) and thankfully no spicy death pillow.

Any advice? At this point I'm even willing to back up anything important and do a factory reset if I have to. Also, if need be, I have a photo of the internals just in case I need to show it (again, not good with electronics on the hardware side of things).

Item was $4.50 for a used CD and checkout surprised me with this incredible deal! How could I say no to adding $99.99 on to the total?!?! /s

Mostly asking because I've never used these before due to never needing to. That, and I have a few old disc based PC games that I'd love to be able to straight up boot without the game disc. These are games I could just pirate, but I figure I already own them in disc, so I'd rather see if there are any reputable places with no-disc patches. The places I've looked in the megathread don't have what I'm looking for.

Closest they have is either a link to the game on another platform in the case of My Abandonware due to it being sold, or a link to just straight up pirate the full thing in the case of Magipack Games. I've also done some digging on the Internet Archive but have yet to yield results (probably because I suck at finding things there). Still gonna keep looking there, but any helpful info would be much appreciated.

I don't think I can share the game names, even in DM, due to the rules here, so site mainpages are my best shot.

I've never ripped CDs or DVDs before for any reason and am curious how this works since I have some stuff I wanna see about backing up but am nervous about ruining the disc. I've tried looking this up, but every time I do, I obviously am searching for the wrong thing because I have never found the info I'm looking for.

Linux noob. Just got a pair of Skull Candy Push Active XT bluetooth earbuds. They pair just fine with my setup but no sound comes through them. I found many different posts on various forums and nothing helped.

Using the inxi command I pulled some info I think might help, if it's needed. (I don't know if any of this is needed to help fix this issue. I've only been using MX for a little over a week and have never really done a lot of under the hood Linux maintenance before, but am more than willing to learn to fix this issue). If there is sny other information needed, I'm willing to edit this with any of that information, if I can find it.

Got a copy of Borderlands (EU iso) from the r/ROMS megathread and found out there is securom verification (which I have absolutely no experience with) as part of the installation process.

Closest I have found to a solution to bypass so far after some brief searching was one "Generic Securom 7/8 by Virusek" off of the "LOSTFILESARCHIVE" github page, which leads to a 404 page (even on the wayback machine).

Are there any programs or patches you would recommend to bypass this god awful drm?
