They were arrested at a tourist site at the US-Canadian border.

The family — a mom, Jackie Merlos, and her four children, 9-year-old triplets and a 7-year-old son — were detained June 28 at the U.S.-Canadian border at Peace Arch Park. Merlos was meeting her sister, a Canadian citizen, in that well-known neutral area where Americans can see their family and friends.

Merlos was meeting her sister, a Canadian citizen, in that well-known neutral area where Americans can see their family and friends.

"Her sister ... stepped over the line and she was saying goodbye" when Merlos was detained by CBP, according to Mimi Lettunich, Merlos' close friend and guardian to Merlos' children.

From a paywalled article

The family has been held at the facility for nearly two weeks without any contact with legal representation or charges being filed, according to their lawyer, Jill Nedved with Gonzales Law Office in Seattle.

Within the arch, each side has an iron gate mounted on either side of the border with an inscription above each gate: the one on the east side read "May these gates never be closed"

So, are any of these Washington-based militias actually going to fight back against government tyranny and try to free these citizens by force? They honestly probably would have popular support if they did.

The Washington-based neo-Nazi groups?

Why would they fight back against the fascism that they are okay with?

as long as nobody's being asked to wear a mask, there's no tyranny

Their idea of tyranny is not being able to say slurs without people getting mad at them

I wonder what they'd do if a different mom with kids was arrested in the same way but she and her kids could pass as white. Would militias actually have convos like this?...

Chud 1: "A mom and her four kids was arrested at the border."

Chud 2: "We know about that."

Chud 1: "No. A different mom and four kids. She's French and she married an American guy. I think she's white. She looks white. The kids look white."

Chud 3: "I did some research. She has an Algerian grandfather."

Chud 1: "She's only 3/4th white?"

Chud 3: "Maybe less. I don't know about her other grandparents."

Chud 4: "How about the dad?"

Chud 3: "He looks white. But google was shit."
