  • added oled 128x64 displays using dupont wires + right angle pin headers
  • 15mm ec11 encoders w/ gmmk rotary knobs
  • Ldsa choc keycaps, w/ some cheap legend stickers slapped on its front
  • lubed choc blue switches

*A few mbk keycaps for the thumbs too.

Mounted some standoffs on the switchplates to add oled acrylic covers, but digging the exposed look for now.

How do people get used to blank keycaps, I can't even remember the less frequently used keys on my regular keyboard let alone a split column staggered one.

Well, with stuff like this, your layout is 100% custom. So you put a lot of time into thinking about where each symbol will go. It's not easy but I think it's really pretty much just a matter of spending way more time than the average person does thinking about your keyboard layout.
