I took my 17 year old niece and some of her friends to the mall in my Lightning. They loved the frunk when I put all their bags in there. I said "my frunk is going to be a bit smaller soon when my CT gets here."

I didn't expect the negative reaction at this point, but they all basically told me I was awful for buying it. The only one who gave a reason was that it is incredibly unsafe with no crumple zone, any occupant gets severely hurt in a crash even if the truck looks fine. Then that's all they talked about, how unsafe the CT was, until I dropped them off at home.

When a 17 year old has more sense and self-preservation instinct than a grown adult.

Had one next to me on the road like 2 weeks ago and holy hell it’s just… like I had to hold back laughter that shit looks like someone took the drawing their 4 year old made of a car on their fridge and had someone try and render that into a 3D object. I don’t understand how someone could want that.

[–] [email protected] 20 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Apparently it is based off of one of Elon's car sketches

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 year ago (1 children)

So basically a 4 year olds drawing.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 year ago

Oh yeah, totally.

[–] [email protected] 49 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I don't understand it. I bought the meme truck! Why don't the youths acknowledge that I'm epic???

That website is a gift that keeps giving lmao

[–] [email protected] 35 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

I should study that site to improve my impersonations of fanboy dipshits. It's hard for me to believe they are real people speaking unironically. It seems like some kind of elaborate hoax site.

[–] [email protected] 25 points 1 year ago

one thing i've learned from perusing that place is if you think you're being to over the top just double it lmao

I think they are talking about this one, linked in the OP (I hope this doesn't come across snarky, I don't intend for it to)

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 year ago

Thanks! I genuinely did not see the link in the OP. And nit, that did nit come off as snarky

I will raise my children as maoists

[–] [email protected] 40 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I saw one on the road for the first time 2 weeks ago and it was straight up disgusting. I'm a car hobbyist kinda guy (I know) and I thought it was a fuckin abomination. Looks awful in person. Significantly worse than a lot of the media released, and it didn't look great there.

[–] [email protected] 35 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It's very helpful that the worst people in the world are visibly sorting themselves into a recognizable warning sign for normal people though.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

And they're more likely to die while driving these cars, so that's good.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 year ago

It would he funny to spray these cars with a very small squirt of diluted hydrochloric acid.

[–] [email protected] 32 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I'd rather buy The Homer than this janky piece of shit. It's cooler, and probably cheaper, too.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 year ago

plus it's got the little ball for finding it in the parking lot

[–] [email protected] 30 points 1 year ago

:its the children who are wrong:

[–] [email protected] 29 points 1 year ago

This man's cope to pretend others have fallen for some sort of nefarious ploy to convince them of a narrative that makes cybertruck and the rest of elons terrible mistakes look like terrible mistakes!

He knows better tho

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They're cheugy. I don't make the rules.

shrug-outta-hecks

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 year ago (1 children)
