That's the reason why average wealth doesn't reflect the general living experience of the public.

Without London the UK would be ranking much lower on the average wealth scale.

Not to mention that a lot of the visible wealth in places like the City of London is probably also financed with money that appears in none of these statistics.

The top 0.1% possesses 10 times as much wealth as the bottom 50%

That's 3.33 thousand people owning much, much more than 167 million combined.
