Just another choice of the previous (leftist) government reversed.
That was under Conte, a leader Trump called a "really great leader". With five stars and the League supporting him. Idk what currently consitutes a "leftist" government in Italy, but for most countries in the EU that is pretty right leaning to right wing.
Well, they elected a literal neofascist government so I guess anybody left of the Strasserites is a leftist now
For us it was left wing populism (statalism, high public expenditure, green economy). All things which were proven to be not sustainable though.
Why do you think the government has had a say in where companies moves their manufacturing?
