In other words, is there any way a divorce could cost $0? I’m not married or getting a divorce, just curious.

I get 7-8 hours of sleep a night, but when I wake up in the mornings it's a struggle for me to get going. It doesn't matter if I wake up naturally or with an alarm, it takes me at least 20 minutes to fully wake up and not want to go back to sleep. I'm sure it's attributed to my autoimmune disorders now, but I've been like this my entire life. So it makes me wonder, are there really adults that wake up refreshed and ready to go in the mornings?

My 8 year old wakes up wide open, so I know kids have this mystical ability 😄

Me and this girl have been talking for a little bit and we recently hung out abt 3 days ago, we cuddled a bit and watched youtube and shared music. It seemed like she was enjoying my company but something came up with one of her friends and i had to leave to give her some space. Since then ive been on delivered and i want to believe that theres something else but i think she might just not like me at all and i was wrong abt her liking me as a friend or otherwise. Im autistic and have a very hard time making sense of these situations and i need some help.

I'm from Brazil and I've never met or heard of a person who has peanut allergy. Actually, I can't remember the last time I met someone with any allergy.

It's very very common that I read about Epipens and the dangers of allergies when navigating the internet in English. But I honestly have no idea what an Epipen is and I NEVER heard about it in school

Recently found out that a guy I went to school with was murdered, doing something he loved.

He was 2 years older than me, and we rarely talked while I was growing up, but the dude was infectious with positivity and good vibes. He strived to make everyone smile, and was even famous for the hugs he would give to people. It's obvious he had a big impact, not just in our small town, but throughout the music community in a nearby city. He was always reaching out to people, even if he didn't know them, to cheer them on and let them know they/the effort they were putting in was important.

Ever since I found out, I've been so sad. I even had a nightmare about it last night.i know it's absolutely nothing compared to the grief his family and loved ones have been going through..but why am I so sad when I didn't even know the guy like that? I almost feel compelled to do something meaningful for him, but I don't even know what that would be.

I’ve read a lot of stories on r/AmItheAsshole where people have gotten into arguments because they asked someone’s salary or because someone else shared their salary with family or friends. Why does sharing a salary have such a negative connotation to it? I also remember this time from grade school when a boy got lectured by the guest speaker for asking her salary. I’ve never asked for anyone’s salary nor shared my own but if someone asked, why would it be a bad thing to tell them the truth?

Edit: I meant if a family member or friend who’s not a coworker were to ask.

This is just something I’ve been wondering. I worked on top of a mountain last year and the amount of sunburns the people I knew regularly got was wild and I’m seeing it again this summer. Even when offered sunscreen, people decline. Why is that?

My (30f) partner (35m) have been together for nearly 3 years. I’ve noticed him checking out other women while we’re out & about over the years which has been fine, I’d say normal? However last weekend we were at a family bbq and he was constantly staring at my cousins 17yr old friend until I had to pull him aside and ask what on earth he was doing and he said ‘I don’t know what’s wrong with me' and I asked him to leave. Since then he’s deleted all of the thirst traps from his social media (I’ve never had an issue with women he’s never gonna meet on socials) but the reason being is he think it’ll 'help' and he’s committed to changing. I now feel like this was a much bigger problem than I originally thought or he’s just going over the top and I should appreciate he wants to change? Please help give me some perspective!

There are times when I see a highly-voted story and think, "That's such bullshit." Maybe it's the way a lot of them are written, but I question almost every "real" story I come across.

Influencers and people chasing influencership are breaking various segments of societies and discourse with their grifting, scams, and lying.

So why isn't their backlash to just make being an influencer so toxic that people don't get into it?

Original Title: Is it normal to read an article and then suddenly realize that you have no idea what’s going on, because you have been reading the words but not internalizing their meaning? I always end up reading the same thing over and over.

I've had people talk to me in a public bathrooms multiple times. Why? I'm there to piss or wash my hands and get the fuck out. Not to talk to someone.

everytime I see a person in some video or social media who looks 24-25 they suddenly reveal that they're 17-18 or something and I'm baffled. I'm from India and no one from my school and college has ever looked as old as Americans do. Like, their middle schoolers can look like my age! (I'm 19) . I see this a LOT and it's pretty much always Americans (I'm not talking about TV shows and movies I mean actual people)

Every time i wake up in the morning and have to go to work, i feel like "do i even need it?" (And i do). I think "what if i just don't go, what if i just don't need anything, f*ck it". And i mean, i know why I'm working, i know i need money to survive and pay bills and that everyone's working and it's default, but every morning i just hate my existance and would do anything just so i can not work. It happens no matter what job i have, if i love my job, morning routine is the same. Even if i enjoy the process, start is always the same. Bonus points if it's cold and dark outside, i just want to sit at home doing nothing

I have intrusive thought to just not go (when i'm almost at the door already)

I think this may be a regional thing so for reference I love in Indiana.

For some reason almost everyone I know over the age of 55 says "warsh" instead of just "wash." My grandparents have said it like this my entire life, but now I'm starting to notice my parents and aunts and uncles do it too. I don't remember my mother ever saying "warsh" until the last few years.

Is there any explanation for this?

I've been seeing this guy for 7 months and he is the most kind, caring, funniest man I've ever been with.. we got our own place together about 2 months ago and everything has went well. But today he asked me if I would download life360 so he can know where I'm at when I leave. I said that I didn't like the idea of that, but he kept on pushing it and eventually started to cry while saying things like "I know you're going to cheat on me" it wasn't just a few tears either.. he was full on blubbering. I ended up downloading the app because I felt bad and he thanked me. I just feel a little weird, but I do trust him.

I struggle with depression, low energy that causes me to not do even simple things because they are hard, anxiety, etc. and its hard for me to even stay consistent with lots of things, even exercise.

I visited the class and it really caught my interest. there were lots of cool confident guys who are very masculine and down to earth and I want to make friends with them and hopefully take one up as a role model since i never had one in my life.

However, as i said, i struggle with mental health and i am gonna get treatment for it. plus, classes are really expensive but the coaches are professional and seem to be good teachers, so i cant waste it. i have to go everyday.

should wait a little first (maybe a month or more) and get better first or just join?

I’ve been wondering this FOREVER! I’d go into a bookstore and almost every book was labeled as a NYT bestseller, no matter how new or how random the book was.

I recently found out I have cancer, and realized that my days are numbered. I thought about doing all the things on my bucket list, but I can't stop thinking about the actual process of dying to enjoy anything in the last bit of life I have left. It almost seems pointless to do stuff that you know youll only do once. So I want some good advice on embracing the idea of death; if someone has a good way of reckoning with death
