A little something I've been giving thought to. Unfortunately there isn't a lot of music for every single holiday. I know I can spin up a decent goth Christmas playlist. The next closest theme I could possibly structure one around would be 4th of July here in the United States perhaps.

With that in mind I thought it might be interesting to do a community created playlist. Everyone is invited to contribute whether you're American or not. The only requirements is that it might pertain in some significant way to America or current events in America. Or perhaps just a good solid protest song. As well as being genera apropriate. Goth/punk/postpunk/horrorpunk/industrial/etc. I'll start of course with knocking out some of the easy ones.

Rammstein - Amerika

London After Midnight - America's a Fucking Disease

Vision Video - I Love Cats (if you listen you'll get it lol)

Bad Cop / Bad Cop - Womanarchist

Bad Religeon - American Jesus

"Synth-Punk recalling the '80s minimal-wave melancholic vibes' with new school EBM/ Cyber-Punk noise cuts. The realistic mutation of the human body into a surreal and ascetic mind setting of an apocalyptic contemporary society."

not 100% sure what the second half of that means, but it sounds kinda interesting. heard on https://www.twitch.tv/djalayt

Bonus comic:

MaryDeath is a comic about life, death, and everything in between. The story follows a young girl named Mary who happens to have befriended Death. Why Death has chosen to take interest in Mary remains a mystery, but despite his ever dark presence Mary finds comfort in his companionship.

MaryDeath Comics was created in the 2010s by Gwen Tarpley. The artist transitioned recently, but it seems they don’t mind their deadname being on their older comics (i.e. some of the recent posts still use it on their Cats Cafe comic, which is their main effort now.)

I've been rediscovering music from my youth recently, and I have a lot of love for this band. They started as a darkwave/Neue Deutsche Todeskunst band, but added elements of metal to their style.

Something I missed a couple years back and only just now managed to stumble upon. Though I'm definitely liking it so far.

I've only listened to the first few tracks off of it. But so far it has a nice mellow witch house sort of feel to it.

dark ambient / noise, 2025

Brandkommando is a one-man-band from Warsaw, Poland. Its style is clearly harsh noise with a strong industrial influence and spoken words, speeches or modulated/distorted human voices. Lyrical themes are about social issues, politics, anti-racism, third world, anti-war, etc. ...

For those unfamiliar. SP statistically are near something like Lebanon Hannover or closer to Selofan. Dark throbbing synths. With vocals ranging from monotone whispers to outright moans.

A new release from Arizona's own Calabrese. Definitely one of my favorite horror Punk bands. If you like The Misfits these guys will likely be right up there with you.

Wave-Gotik-Treffen is “one of the largest events of the gothic, cybergoth, steampunk, and rivethead subcultures worldwide”. It ran through this weekend in Germany and just finished up.

The following are in German but automated translators work pretty well:
