Can't disagree tbh. But it was originally fast without crash, somehow they made something fast and cool looking using python. This crash would unironically have been a design improvement if this was Facebook/Messenger/Reddit

I hope Javascript doesn't get involved more in Lemmy tbh ~_~ it is the reason facebook looks so ugly imo, it makes web pages so heavy. Doesn't there exist an alternative? I heard WebAssembly serves as one

About backend, wouldn't you be able to make polls and votes like more programmed, like actual buttons to press, if you had someone (or some team) to mess with backend code to incorporate stuff ? (I'm only learning C recently so I'm asking out of curiosity)

hmm, a bit off topic, but if this was based on need for development what are the skills you'd be interested in for applicants ? I presume rust (but don't know the exact tools) and python for genAI,

adobe users need windows, it is the obvious route. A debloated version of Windows is better than Unix-like system for that. If one wants to learn more about software and computer science, or wants more customization than Linux and BSD are miles better. also running a VM of Linux inside Windows is arguably a better idea than running VM of Windows in Linux.

It's like asking between Firefox and Chrome, I use Firefox but Chrome is still faster and more likely to run a site than firefox
